People that believe these actually do anything... Especially to change mpgs when the ecu does all the A/F mixtures... Sure K&N intakes give you 10%+ in mpgs and power too! ??

So if I starve my engine for air by blocking 3/4 of the air filter off there’s no change to performance or mpgs cuz the computer is gonna automatically-magically add in enough air to create the optimal af ratio at all rpm’s?

Oh no it will decrease performance, but you think adding these snorkels will make your ecu adjust in a positive way when it's already not starved for air? These work best on the hwy. Well it's already having air rammed in from oem design. I'm not going to argue because many others have already debunked these not doing anything but looking pretty.

My point was maybe you should just ask more questions “opening some dialogue” rather than just belittle people and call them clowns on the internet.

You should email velossatch and k&n and tel them that your independent research shows that their products don’t do what they say they do. But that would be too much effort and no 3 min if fame for you.

I bought one when they first came out an the price was pretty low back then. I figured it couldn't hurt an might help. If I got any help it was very marginal. Before the lift an bigger tires I saw a .2 gain but who really knows.

Same. I've had mine in the truck since the first week I owned it. I'm at 18,000 miles and I don't get any better mileage than any Ranger without one, and I'm driving 90% of my miles at 60mph+ so if there was a benefit, I'd see it. Looks cool though.

With the set up I have done, AFE air scoop, K&N Drop In Filter, and of course Bi-Turbo, 3.2L Diesel Ranger Upper Radiator Shield which gives a channel straight to the air scoop. I have seen what I will consider a fair increase in fuel economy which is what I am wanting. I don't have a lift or a leveling kit on, I'm stock suspension.

I fill up every two weeks, and I do about 200 miles roughly give or take. I've been burning less and less fuel each fill up now. I tend to rate by what day the needle starts moving, which I fill up on Tuesday and typically the needle moves on Thursday. Now I'm seeing the needle start to move on Saturday. I don't use ASS, and hand calculated I've been around 20 plus mpgs. That's about 90% City 10% Highway use.

Yes I swapped upper radiator shields out. I have a friend in Australia who can get me parts direct from Ford of Australia. I was looking at the Bi-Turbo Diesel engine in the Ranger Raptor and noticed it does have the same intake air box and scoop. I also noticed the upper Radiator Shield was rather very similar but different. It doesn't restrict the incoming air flow from the grile.

See pics of North American Spec Ecoboost and Global Bi-Turbo upper radiator shields. Last but not least my set up with Bi-Turbo upper radiator shields installed. Now this is also for the 2022 3.2L Diesel which normally uses a different upper radiator shield. So be warned.

What's everyone's opinion on using this with the AFe rapid induction intake. Since it's a open top intake

It’s what I’m using and can’t say with certainty but feels like it does what’s intended. Especially at speeds over 40 mph
