Something new?...As far as I know ARB
Old Man Emu only made UCA's that fit the aluminum spindles, not compatible for use on the steel spindle years..
They fit the steel spindles just fine.

If I remember correctly there were several companys that by adding a spacer to the ball joint stud claimed their UCA's could be used with the steel spindles. That did'nt last long...
Probably becuase it was causing problems and component failures..

How much are you planning on lifting?

Unless you're going 3 or more inches up in the front they really aren't needed at all.

And if you're going that big you probably don't want the foxs. If they're anything like the Fox 2.0s they come preset at 2" of lift. To get more you have to adjust the preload, which is not really ideal.

Also I'd take @Wes Siler 's advice with a grain of salt. He's an advertising guy who doesn't divulge wether he paid for a product or not.

I have Fox’s 2.5 so I’m guessing about 2.5” also….. However I’d like to get closer to 3. No rock crawling over here but more faster straight runs over whoops in the desert.

The 2.5 is the shock body width. Pretty sure the preset lift on the 2.5s is still only 2".

The 2.5s will serve you well over fast whoops. The thicker body and res is designed to hold up to the abuse of high-speed running.

Also, if you get up towards and over 3" you might start considering a diff drop to keep your half shaft angles correct.

I'd put them on at the stock preset and go from there. You can fit up to 33"s (skinny) with 2" of lift and no intrusion bar modification.

My Icon UCA do not squeak. There are zerk fittings at each bushing for maintenance.

Thank you for your reply and help. A few people pointed out that the shocks could be set up differently than each other anywhere from a little less than 2 inches to above 2.5 inches so for me to double check that they are set correctly before installing.

Thank you for confirming that there are Zirk fittings at all the pivot points. I do not know why more than a few people state that they do squeak a lot.……..

When I did my 2.0s I just made sure they were equal, they were. The lift was as advertised 2"

Not sure, but I can tell you I heavily coated the poly bushings inside and out when I was assembling them.

Thanks but in the picture above if that’s the model - part that you are talking about there looks to be no zerk fittings on the back 2 bushings?
They certainly do have the fittings. 3 fittings total per control arm.

The Fox 2.5 DSC come in a standard and extended travel version.... adjustable for up to 3" of lift..If you have the extended travel version you will absolutely need UCA"s at 2.5" of lift to make room for the extra travel without binding...I highly recommend
also considering investing in aftermarket rear leaf spring pack ...It will make a huge difference in your desert " Bombing Runs " ?
