I am new to the 5g Ranger and looking at my upfitter switches wondering what folks are doing with them. I don't intend to add a winch anytime soon but wouldn't mind some aux offroad lighting. Yes I have done some searching but haven't found that perfect setup yet (feel free to point me at a thread on the topic). Also, what else do you use these switches for.

I use one of the switches to power my license plate bracket mounted front camera when riding trails. It’s wireless and I use my rv backup camera monitor to view it.

Ok....give me details on that mod. After doing Moab in my Cherokee Trailhawk in March, adding a front trail cam is on my list of wants. Do you have a thread or recommended web site for that?

I just got my Tremor right before we left for vacation so I haven't had a chance to do anything with mine yet. I'm thinking of doing dual pod lights, rock lights and maybe some small lights in the front bumper slots. I have a good portable Viair compressor so I doubt I'll do a mounted one right now.

Need some of that relative bearing grease.

I have a 15 year old Viair thar is still going strong. Since I doubt I will wheel at night, probably no rock lights but am looking at some dual pod lights.

I already had the TadiBrothers 90114F setup for our travel trailer. Display allows up to 4 wireless cameras. I just added a wireless forward facing license plate camera and a front license plate bracket ( not required in Michigan). Monitor mounts to windshield using their suction cup mount. They offer a ton of different setups. Best to browse their site or call them with your specific wants and have them spec a setup.

I went on their website and configured a single camera setup that matched what I’m using. Didn’t add the suction cup mount though.

Look at mine. I have a light bar on a chase rack, light bar(s) on a bull guard. I have back ups on the chase rack all wired into the switches.

Went and checked your truck mods. Nice. I will eventually do a off road bumper that can hold some lights, but first will be Rock sliders. I used them a lot on my 2016 Cherokee (rocky ridge) and they saved a lot of greif...both on the trails and in the parking lots (that door ding is all on you Mr. Challenger)

So far I use mine for my raptor lights (will soon be getting rid of), and ditch lights (one for amber backlight, the other for the main LEDs). I did it that way so I can have everything off if I want.

I have some more lights (ARB Solis driving lights) that I'm going to install and a winch as well. But none of those are getting installed to my uplifter switches. If I get some rock/puddle/poop? lights I may hook them up to the uplifters. Maybe I'll do a air compressor......damn this site ?

All great idea's.....decisions, decisions. My passion for extreme long range rimfire competition is competing for Ranger $$$, so we will see what wins.

FWIW this is how I'm allocating mine.

Switch 3 - Diode Dynamics 6" rectangular, amber fog lights mounted in the lower grill with their brackets. This switch is also wired to "Raptor" amber grill lights. I use this to activate "amber, notice me mode" in Michigan white out winters.
Switch 4 - KC reverse lights mounted under the rear bumper. Idea is to add light down low when I'm hooking up a trailer or setting up camp.
Switch 5 - KC ditch lights
Switch 6 - KC Cyclone under hood lights

Future

Switch 2 - Activate DC-DC charger so that I can enable charging when I want it instead of running an ignition sense wire that would activate the charger anytime the truck is running. This will not feed the charger, that will be via dedicated cables.
Switch 1 - Not sure yet. Compressor, maybe?

Oh, and be prepared whenever someone jumps in your truck to start flipping switches. Happened during an oil change and my dashcam caught the conversation. They both agreed it was kinda cool though.

I kinda wished there was a valet mode.
