I’m glad it’s all working out Dave. Are you travelling back through Salt Lake City or Las Vegas?

Finally there's a light at the end of the tunnel! :whew:

I received a call from the final loss adjuster this morning and here's the total number they're paying me. $51,081. I can't stress enough how important it is to have Full Replacement Value on your policy! When I spoke to a different adjust on Friday he didn't realize I had this coverage and the payout would've been only $ 37,574.00. o_O So I received just over $13,000 more for this $67.00/yr add on. I only owe $4,200 on my 2019 (had 0%) then they deducted my deductible ($500) so even after all that I'll still net $46,380. The new Tremor is $49,210 + 200 doc fee - 1,250 rebate Ford had sent me bring the new price to 48,160 making my out of pocket only $1,780. Needless to say I won't be taking a loan out for this one which is nice seeing at rates are so high now. One thing I forgot was they do add back to me for taxes and fees so the bottom line number they paid for just the Ranger was $47,505.00.

I just went to the credit union and had the Power of Attorney letter notarized and overnighted back to Travelers releasing the truck to them. She said everything should be done by the end of next week. I'm making plans to fly out to WA on 4/16 to pick up Money Pit 2. We'll probably stay overnight there and get an early start in the morning. Plus it'll give me a chance to put a few city miles on it before hitting the highway Wednesday. Again, thank you all for the support and wishes and soon enough I'll be spending money (again) on mods but the good thing is the tires and suspension are already done this time. ?
Great news Dave.

I beg to differ lol. White is pretty much the only color that visibly shows "industrial fallout", (it maybe called something else today) little rust colored specs that is easily removed by clay bar. I actually like white, but after my GTI, I probably wont ever get another white car. Seems like every couple of months I was having to clay the car due to it ?. But I'm also OCD so that might explain it too ?

Random pic for reference

Wow, Morgan, what is that? If that’s falling from the sky and sticking to your truck, you might have a lot more to worry about than just paint damage. Are you breathing that stuff in?

I'm not sure yet but probably this route. I'll be going up the 1-15 2 weeks later and would rather have a different scenery. lol

Thats just a random pic I snagged from the interwebs for reference, not actually my old GTI. Back many moons ago when I used to detail cars, that's what we called it. It's Probably a combination of many particles in the air along with rail car dust. A lot of detail companies have whats called "iron remover" specifically used for the removal of this stuff. Then follwed by clay bar and so on.

https://www.kleenfreaksamerica.com/collections/all/products/kleen-freaks-iron-remover

My GTI was ceramic coated and so most of the car it wasn't an issue, just the hatch area and rear bumper where debris would accumulate due to the aero.

:tldr I know lol

*edit: Definition I found.

Industrial fallout occurs when small airborne metal particles settle on the surface of your car and bond to it. Industrial fallout commonly comes from railway lines and metal production/fabrication processes found in industrial areas and the contamination occurs when a car is parked in these areas.

Annie will have to do a lot of shopping on the way back to fill that truck up like it was on your SD, UT, CO trip.

And before you say anything…………..oh, you’ll be stopping. ?

I think the Tremor was a great choice - if Raptors are ridiculously priced or take WAY too long to be delivered, you’ll have the next best thing. ?
