Hey guys, maybe you can help me make sense of this. 2021 Ranger Lariat with Ford Performance tune and Ford Performance ProCal4 tuner module. Ford Performance exhaust and 32.7” BF Goodrich KO2 tires.
I noticed that my throttle response seemed to be a bit less peppy so I pulled DTC codes and I get a persistent UO422 code “Invalid Data Received from Body Control Module”. I clear it but then recheck DTC codes immediately and it’s still there.
I updated my ProCal, return to stock tune and then reload the Ford Performance tune and it’s still there. After reloading the throttle response seems great and I’ve got no warning dash lights and everything seems to function just fine - other than this dang DTC code that won’t clear. The BCM module itself looks fine, all connections are solid. All fuses are good. OBD port is clean and ProCal wires are not bent.
I do have Baja Designs fog lights, LED side mirror lights and LED front fender lights that I’m wondering may be causing the fault…but not entirely sure if that’ll do it.
Could LED bulbs be causing this? Anyone else seen this? Any guesses as to what’s going on?
