To get an extra 1mpg? No thanks. I mainly do highway driving anyways.

I'm not a fan and think it's obnoxious. Does anyone know exactly how much of any fuel savings are realized with it turned on?
It didn't bother me in the loaner 2.3t explorer I got for a bit. Not sure if it is programmed a bit different or it was a heavier vehicle so I didn't feel it starting back up as much.Must be the odd one out. Never turn it off and it doesn’t bug me at all.
They took out the glovebox damper and the bulb for the PRNDS light to cut costs...I don't think the starter is heavy duty.Unless the price of a better starter was baked into the cost of the truck and most of us are not using it like we should?
That would assume the starter is a better unit than Rangers that have a no ASS option - doubt it.
It does something....when it's time to replace the reserve it will drive prices up.I will never turn it back on as long as i own this vehicle, it does as much good for mpg's as releasing barrels from the strategic petroleum reserve does for gas prices, which is nothing.
So no.
Yea and the gov't will pay a higher per barrel price to fill the reserve back up, because there stupid and it's not their money so they don't care.It does something....when it's time to replace the reserve it will drive prices up.
You know..... I was wondering if you or anyone has noticed that there's no place for the #1 on the sign if it reaches $10.00 or more. The sign goes up to 9.99⁹Even if gas goes up to $10.00/gal I wont turn that darn thing back on. That's how much I can't stand it.![]()
