@Jms81661 yeah I believe so. It's a tune that you aren't supposed to tow with apparently? Also, take those numbers with a grain of salt. One is with 87 octane and the other is 93 which is required with the tune. Would be interesting to see a stock tune running 93 octane

so what happens if you dont put 93 in the tank?

is it detrimental, or do you just not reap the power benefits?

I only ask, because sometimes you have to hunt for 93.
Says 91 or better is fine. In some parts of the country I’ve seen where you get one and not the other.

It's right there in the description idk what all the hoopla is about?,?
It did not say that previously. It said nothing about towing at first, then months later (after release) stated "towing not recommended" (what the hoopla was about) and now has been updated to be O.K. for towing.

It's surprising that you know of the topic but didn't bother to read it. The whole situation is right there.

Lol the stock numbers are with premium fuel, not 87. Also Ford recently addressed the towing part.

5 star gets you a claimed 70hp 90tq on 93 octane tune and it's a few hundred cheaper. It also tunes throttle body response (no more pedal lag), has a tire size calibrator, and can disable auto start/stop.

What I use.
5 star? Is the Ford/warranty approved?
