How is the whole drawer system fastened to the bed underneath?
I ended up just drilling 4X 3/8" holes through the bed and just bolting a sheet of 3/4 plywood (that I coated with epoxy) straight through with some big fender washers underneath. the bolts also go through the metal brackets that attach the sliders for the fridge/kitchen.

I figure the holes should be small enough (and are very evenly spaced) that if I remove the setup in the future I can just pop in some plastic plugs and they will be virtually unnoticeable.

So when your out 4-wheeling and then set up camp, and your truck is filthy dirty... you just drive all that filth right into the paint with the tent?

Any design where straps or material is up against painted body panels...... is just a poor design.

Cool set-up.

Can you post up a photo with everything in the stowed away position and maybe an inside photo with the top up and down?

Thanks! Here's the truck with it all closed. Ham radio is wired, just need a new bolt to attach the antenna to the tracks on the roof.

I'll get some interior pictures later today.

Here are some interior pictures. When the wedge is popped up, I can't reach the highest point with arm extended upwards and I'm ~6'2".

All closed from the door:

From the side (3rd brake light is wired, the interior lights are waiting for a battery, and there's a pre-wired solar cable set).

Here's with the sides opened but top down:

Top up, bed up:

Here's the bed down when the top is up:

On each side of the bed are pre-wired led lights on flexible stalks and USB power ports that are pre-wired to the connections down below waiting for a battery.

Nice rig. Thanks for sharing the great pics.

With the top down, how high is the rooftop off the ground ? As in garage door clearance ?

With the OME springs, 285/70/17 tires, and camper the total height is just under 8 feet. I wish our garage had that much clearance but it's not even close.

The clips attach behind the paint that's visible.. and it's a tent used a couple nights a couple times a summer... It's a truck so who cares? It's meant to be used. Enjoy your 5th wheel RV or a $2000 RTT, this little bed tent rig is perfect for me and I sleep like a baby off the ground and out of the wind.

Here’s a couple of shots of my build progress. Camper I built myself including welded space frame, aluminum extrusion for the tent portion and the canvas tent over this quarantine period. Starting on the interior build out now.

Now THAT is how to make good use of some free time resulting from a global pandemic!
Looks awesome!
