Anyone come across upgraded upper control arms for the tremor. All the UCA's I've looked at say for aluminum knuckles only. The tremor has cast iron knuckles, or at least mine does.

Suggestions?

I am running Total Chaos on my Tremor. Believe part number is 80520. So far no complaints.

Thanks, I've developed a creaking noise coming from the UCA from what I can tell by grabbing hold of it and rocking the truck. I'm assuming it's the angle it sits at with my 2" ranger lifts spacer. Everything works fine I'm thinking the ball joint is just not pumped about the angle it sits at.

I do mild- medium offroading every 2 weeks mainly exploring with my ONX app.

I'm going to double check the torque settings for now but will replace the UCA in the near future. Appreciate the replys.

Was looking at the same thing for my tremor too, specifically the APG ones, but noticed those only come with a uniball mount.

On the tacoma and other inferior truck forums they mentioned they have a shorter life span and need more maintenance and generally not for mainly street trucks, they seem to specify racing only.

I have no say in this, but curious what others who do have uniball mounts with decent mileage have to chime in.

I'm with you there. I'm not maintaining a ball joint every 3,000 miles on a street truck in 2022.

I emailed camburg and asked them about longevity of the uniball. We'll see if I get a response.

Mehh, you'll be fine, let em hang and put those uniballs.
I've had my uppers and lowers with uniballs for almost a year now and have driven 95% on the street. When I hand wash wash my truck I wipe over the uniballs and spray them down. They have a Teflon lining that keeps dust out and need to be "maintained" aka keep your stuff clean. Anything mechanical has a best friend named maintenance to slow down the mechanical break down. I don't trust stock ball joints, I don't get to off-road much but I hit it hard and fast and can trust my setup.

Edit: I thought APG used the stock ball joints that's why they claim any Ford dealership can work on the truck with a Ford technician and the ball joints could be replaced at any time by a Ford technician with stock part numbers.

Also, APG is going to end the prorunner conversion kit production for bronco production stuff but will do the ranger prorunner conversion by special request. Idk what affect this had on the midrunner conversion and parts alone.

Curious about the Icon Delta joint. Claims to last a lot longer with easier maintenance but it is proprietary and hasn’t been around all that long (relatively). I know Icon UCAs are not yet available for all of our trucks but just curious about the ball joint on them.

For sure they seem legit. They even have a dust cover on top, which requires less cleaning.
