Tremor Upfitter switches

Ok - I have a weird one for you all.

My wife has the Tremor. She will never use the dash mounted switches that come with the Tremor.

I have the FX4 and desperatley want the switches. I was hoping that the wiring harness was in the FX4 and that all I would have to do is plug/play. It does not appear that is the case. I even peeled back my dash tray and didnt see any connectors in there.

Seems more than its worth to try to swap that... unless I am missing something????

The wiring isn't there. It runs from the dedicated little fuse box that they tape into the Tremor. If you don't have the box taped in there, you don't have the wiring for the switches..

Yea, I found that box. But for the life of me I couldnt identify any corresponding harness in the FX4.

You could snag her box (no pun intended),
Switch box and run your own wires from the box to the battery…. You’ll need to add fuseable links at the battery end and maybe a relay but you could make it work…
It shouldn’t be that difficult… you don’t necessarily need the Aux box that comes with the tremor but you could also make that box work if you know anything about electronics…
Mine is in on the shop now because the aux box is not working from the factory when I was testing the system before I dropped it off at the shop I hard wired my lights right to the switches to make sure they weren’t faulty

Ford has been using those same switches for decades in superduty's. You could just buy those and wire them to your own relay box. This guy did his Tacoma using that method. The tremor switches aren't new or special really, just another recycled ford part in another truck.

For the cost and hassle, I would really consider one of the aftermarket wireless systems. These also tend to be more configurable. Don’t get me wrong, I use and like the switches in my Tremor.

I know this was an older question but I attached the wiring diagram and replacement procedure for the Tremor Aux switches, I hope it helps someone.
