I have a 2019 Ranger and since it has been pretty cold lately (low 20s), it is shifting rough at low speeds from 2nd to 3rd gears. Is there something I should have checked or updated?

As do I. But usually not more than 5 minutes. When it’s cold I let it warm up at idle a while.
Don't do this unless you're willing to do the proper relearn.reset the adaptive learning memory for the transmission first, then check the transmission fluid second and see what it does
really? i'm curious why. i always warm my ranger up whether it's warm or cold outside. the transmission just doesn't like cold temp fluid. during the summer the warmup is 1 or 2 minutes, but during the winter i'll leave that em effer out there like 10+ min lol.As do I. Not just the Tranny, Im thinking the Turbo too....really? i'm curious why. i always warm my ranger up whether it's warm or cold outside. the transmission just doesn't like cold temp fluid. during the summer the warmup is 1 or 2 minutes, but during the winter i'll leave that em effer out there like 10+ min lol.
admittedly it's mostly cuz i'm a pansy about the cab not being warmed up. i like comfort when possible. but also the transmission behaves better.
It's just what I do. A long warm up isn't required and I don't like wasting fuel.really? i'm curious why. i always warm my ranger up whether it's warm or cold outside. the transmission just doesn't like cold temp fluid. during the summer the warmup is 1 or 2 minutes, but during the winter i'll leave that em effer out there like 10+ min lol.

I've been doing this my whole life going back to the days of 4bl carbs. Start it and listen for the rpms to drop then go. Summers are usually 1-3 minutes but winters (especially in MA & AR) could be as long as 15 minutes. I'd rather waste a little gas than damage something internally not letting it warm up and having the oil flowing good.really? i'm curious why. i always warm my ranger up whether it's warm or cold outside. the transmission just doesn't like cold temp fluid. during the summer the warmup is 1 or 2 minutes, but during the winter i'll leave that em effer out there like 10+ min lol.
