Title specifies my question. I have 46,000 mile on my 2019 Ranger and have towed it 4 down behind my motor home for 29,000 miles. Should I change the fluid and filter in the transmission?

My in-laws flat-tow their '20 Ranger behind an RV and have made multiple trips from Ohio to Texas and New Mexico and back as well as a run from Ohio to Maine and back and have had no issues. You might see increased transfer case and wheel bearing wear, but they haven't seen that yet. The transmission is motionless during flat tow.

But they told me the work to prepare the Ranger for flat towing wasn't cheap!
