This past weekend I did a 1,400 mile road trip to go pick up my 1971 Torino which as been in storage for 2 years... SF Bay, CA -> Kennewick, WA -> SF Bay

On the drive up there I managed 24.1MPG and on the drive back while towing I managed 15.9!! I was super impressed with how the truck handled towing this car. Barely even noticed it back there.

BTW, the Torino is for sale if anyone is interested. ;)

You would not believe it if I told you
Gorgeous Torino! I had a 1970 GT Convertible that I had no time to finish restoration on so I sold it to keep from feeling guilty every time I looked at it...LOL.... Oh, is there a Ranger in there somewhere too?

If I only had the garage space. . . :^) Beautiful car. Bout the time I was in H.S and enamored with Dodge Chargers and the much less expensive Torino!

Nice Torino @blackc200. I'm kind of partial to them as I have a '69. A couple questions for you on the tow. Did the U haul trailer require a brake controller or do their trailers have surge brakes? Also what drop was used on the tow ball? Can't tell if you have 4x4 but these bumpers do sit pretty high up. TIA
PS...Didn't know much about the whole brake controller thing when bringing mine home ~5 years ago and just took the setup they gave me since I rented the truck & trailer.

The UHaul Trailer has surge brakes on it and I think I used a 2" drop. I do have the FX4 package (removed the stickers)

Also, my torino is for sale if anyone is interested ;)
