Replaced air filter once so far with Motorcraft. I had a K&N in my old truck with no issues. Saves money, I used the same filter for 200,000 miles. People who have problems and CEL's put too much oil on. Haven't decided if I'll get a K&N for the Ranger.

K&N makes a cabin air filter too though, that may be the way to go with that.

Good day gentlemen!

Received this today:

I've replaced most with K&N but decided that a spring wash every
yr without cleaning & oiling would greatly increase my beer time.
So, who are you?
- A guy that pollutes & buys the expendable ones?
- A guy that buys the oily ones?
- Or a dry guy?
- Oh, forgot the foam guy..

Of course you could be a guy, gal, it, cat, moose or them. Whatever, it's fine by me.

Cheers ?
covering for bases for the month of June?

I'm looking to convert to an oil bath air filter. Then I have another place to put used oil besides in the lawnmower and under the shed. ?
Surely you've got some stumps needing killing, or some weeds a-creepin round that needs a good oil bath!

Installed, tomorrow morning is an oil change. I'm at
25% left, 60k km, about 40k miles & they will put that semi synth
stuff. Were not hard on the truck, well, apart from the wife going
WOT all the time, so the semi should be good for now. Full synth
once we decide to buy the travel trailer.

On my Ranger I did end up putting that particular filter in. Overall I didn't have a problem with just getting through and I made sure I cleaned it as needed. That said there's still nothing wrong with going with the factory air filter.

Absolutely nothing wrong with the OEM parts, I just don't want to buy
every 2nd yr or so. Mine was fairly clean after 2.5 yrs. I'll be looking at a reusable one for the cabin filter too.
I asked them to check my transmission, the amount of oil, all good.

K&N oiled red rocket, came with the Ford Performance engine tune. Keeps the sand very low in the UOAs. Don’t listen to the myths perpetuated by the internet and incompetent installs.
