Ford performance air filter

Thinking about buying the ford performance tune and it comes with an air filter. I'm due for an oil change soon. So should I just have them change it during the service? Can I do the tune prior to installing the filter without messing anything up? Also the instructions talk about torquing the screws, is that really necessary if I do it myself?

It’s a K&N. I wouldn’t do it at all. I left mine out.

If its a busy day at sevice dept get the oil change then book appt for FP tune. I ditched the k&n
