Tire Size-Mixed results

So I seem to be getting mixed results on what tires will fit on what, so I wanted to get some input.

I have a 2020 Ranger Lariat FX4 that my leveling kit will be going on next week, it is 2.5".

I have seen a few people post that 275/65r18 are too big for a 2.5, and that it rubs as well as gets dangerously close to the steering components...but others have said they're fine.

and am trying to figure out if I need to stick with 265s or if I can fit 275s without ANY RUBBING or any adjustment to the crash bar.

Also you can compare sizes using this tires chart. That way if someone has a 17" that doesn't rub you can input your 18" and see if/what the difference is.

Well, I have 265s now, that is what were on them when I got it, more curious about getting 275s on it.

Wheel offset is also a factor. I went from the black 18's to 285 70 17 with Fuel Shock wheels with a +25 offset and Fox 2.0's. Hi clearance crash bars.

Falken WildPeak 275/65R18 are fine on my 2020 Lariat FX4 with a 2.5" level kit.

Honestly different tires even in the same size may act differently in certain conditions because of sidewall construction etc . I was concerned about tolerance between suspension components, but these have worked out fine even aired down some or when the psi was somewhat high as I was testing how it affected the ride. I ended up at 32psi cold and on very cold mornings like we had here a week or so ago they were running in the 28psi range with no issues.

With your set up what kind of tire tread, not sidewall, poke do you have. I have some 17" 8.5 wide +25 mm rims with Fox 2.0 stage 1, Icon UPC, hi cleaner crash bars that I am putting on a 23 FX4 and having problems deciding between 285's and 275's, 70R17.

275s on 9" wide +18s. Tread is just barely underneath the fender.

I don't have a good image at the moment, but I guess I gotta say 13mm more than blmpkn? I definitely get splatter down the sides now.
Really considering flares.

If I had it to do again, I'd likely go 275. My off roading is recreational only. The 275s would be better for my mostly pavement life.
I would never trade my KO2's though.

Geez.... Now it's gonna be MY fault! ?
I know what your going through. Problem is... you can never be 100% confident in your choice unless you've done both things. These tires are too expensive to play around with though. They're a significant investment. I did 5 wheels & 5 tires.
