Those who installed Softtopper, does this look right?

I’ve installed the bed rails lined to inner edge of front bed. But the softopper rack does not collapse evenly like the photos and video installation instructions show. Did yours have the supports different lengths and one drops below the bed rim?

I’ve verified the color dots match and even tried swapping the red and black but they are same size

I don't have mine yet but that doesn't look right. I would think it would be even.

I finished the install and it seems to be okay. To be safe I emailed their support to ask.

That’s how mine looked.

Looks as designed.

This was one of the reasons I went with my FasTop instead. Both the SoftTopper and Bestop fold up above the bedrails.

Softtopper replied and said as designed.

So far I really love it. Been using it as just Safari mode for now.

Not sure this is common knowledge or not but save “Bimini top” in your notes if you need replacement parts and want to compare prices (or change out the nylon joints/hardware for metal). There are also snap tools available if you run your topper a bit tighter.

If you end up looking for a rack to go with this style top there are some good modified off the shelf and home built ideas on this site.
