These just became available in the last week, so I finally ordered one. got in the mail (one day shipping to denver, for $25), and installed today. super happy with this so far. install was easy, and quality seems on point. I'll update after I drive with it for a bit once I have some more impressions on it.

Damn, I waited a long time for this, but couldn’t wait and longer and eventually just got a Leer cap. I’ve always like the looks of these soft toppers

I have never seen, or heard of, a soft topper in my life. Read about them here last night. I was leaving work today & a small truck with a soft topper went across the parking lot right in front of me! Anyway, it wasn't near as good-looking as RoadBoss's.

softtopper used to offer one, but I don't see it listed on their site anymore....

there are a number of other companies that make them for other trucks though, so I'd imagine just a matter of time before something becomes available for the ranger.

also, just found this for super light duty stuff. http://www.autoenhance.com/softopperrack.html
the page looks so outdated though, who knows if its actually available, or just someone that doesn't care about marketing

also, got to drive a bit today, didn't notice anything bad at all about the softtopper. visibility is still quite good through the back window. no wind noise, with it folded up completely, and with the sides rolled up. tail gate is still really easy to open up, and my dog seems to enjoy riding back there, especially with the sides rolled up all the way. He's terrified of riding in the open bed, so I guess this gives him enough feeling of security, but still a lot of extra visibility and room to stick his head out. I left the back piece down for now just to make sure he wouldn't try and jump out, though I'll probably try it up next time I'm off road and see how he does.

so far I'm thrilled with it.

Nice looking topper. This would be a great idea for hauling my doggo's too. And keep the hair out of the cab!

Would you mind posting a photo or three when you get the chance of the softopper in the stored position? I'd like to see how it fits on the truck and how much it covers the rear glass. Also, is it easy to remove completely from the truck and then subsequently reinstall?

Thanks!

Takes a few minutes to remove the whole thing if you're leaving the side rails on.
