Give me more credit that that, I know how +/- works, however I recall a discussion coming up about if its better to connect directly to the battery or one of the fork off connections. I just cant seem to find the thread.
As someone else said - to box or body ground which runs to box... But not to neg post... Never assumed you didn't know... My brevity didn't assume anything... Good luck.

Sorry I mis-read, error on my part. Apologies.

The coffee has yet to kick in.

Personally don't mine having to open the hood. That reminds me to unhook the maintainer before I start the truck. Of course my MY2019 has hood struts.

I prefer to pop the hood so I don't forget to unplug it when I leave.
If I was going to put a quick disconnect on, it would need to be up near the windshield where I would see it when I got in. In the front down low, I would be dragging the cord for sure.

Retired, work is a four letter word.
I installed a NOCO 2A charger in the engine compartment with the plug in the grill, don't want just a 12v line where I need to have the charger with me, only need power. I even plug it in to my RV when camped long term. Connected to +12 and the top of the -12 at the BMS so it sees the charge.

Install it on the rear, so when you drive off it pops out hahaha

Good point, even with my "remove before flight" magnet dealio, I sometimes back out with it connected (because I need another reminder to put the magnet on the truck!).

Luckily, the mailman got his winter boots snarled up in one day (without falling), yanked it out, and broke the clip on the connector. Still plugs together but now releases easily if I forget.

I read somewhere on here that someone used a magnetic connector.

I have no idea about outdoor-rated 12V magnetic connectors but would love to know if such a thing would work with the CTEK battery tender.
