This has been sticking in my mind the last few weeks. Seeing that the 5G is coming to a close I’ve been wondering what the last build will be. And who will get it. Not the highest VIN number but the last one down the line. Will there be a ceremony/party ? Maybe @P. A. Schilke has some insight into what happens.
Hi Steve,

The last 5G is likely to go quietly to the shipping yard. The first 6G is usually one vehicle space behind last 5G and here is likely where there would be a "celebration". In the case of 6G it might just be the launch team and the PVT and the plant personnel. Depends on what sort of publicity the Public Affairs folks decide, and with track record of crappy launches of late..I think they might take a pass on any fanfare at all. JMO.

Best,
Phil

I think Al (@Texasota ) needs to step it up and get in the game here...?
For all of the guys and gals that joined this forum within the last couple of years or so, you need to know that Terry (@FoD) was previously a fierce opponent of dampers. He argued endlessly with our dubious moderator (@AzScorpion) about the silliness and uselessness of dampers. But then... he finally cracked under the pressure from the previously mentioned dubious moderator. Maybe just a weak constitution or a weak moment in Terry's life caused this. Who knows. I still get tears in my eyes and sometime wake up in a cold sweat. Saddest day ever on this forum.

That’s sad but understandable. Me thinks that we should lobby the Public Affairs folks to at least get Ranger5G.com a pic of the last one coming off the line. Heck , I would even volunteer to buzz down there to be a representative for us all to witness this momentous occasion ?

I know that limited production cars (often in the Ford Performance wheelhouse) sometimes get a last built thing going on with them. I know for the 2016 (first year) of the Mk3 Focus RS they sold the last 2016 off the line for the NA market in a 1 of 1 Magnetic Gray color for $550,000 around Feb of 2016 in a charity auction. So, the winner didn't get their car until production had already moved to MY2017 production.

Al forgot to mention that he had to have some small operations to cover the torn ligaments and muscles and cartlidge and bone caused by "TG Slam Down". He's better now, but still has those 'wet dreams' lol ???
