I got to tell you, for me, the Ranger 5Gg Lariat is just about as nice a pickup as I could ever own.
Not too big not too small. A bit of a different vibe than the XLTs and XLs - although still real nice..
I've seen the 6G over in Europe in the Tremor and XLT respective packages and they are nice.
But I really like the 5G.
Yes I've leveled and a bit larger tire but basically looking like a stock truck Ford would have offered.
I'm sure there will be many who gravitate to the new 6G but very satisfied with the look of the 5g Lariat.
I hope I can keep her going for a long time.
But, if it comes down to it and too difficult to keep my 5G road worthy I will probably buy a 6G.

If I can't keep my 5G running I'll buy a used one; I won't buy another new truck until some manufacturer builds something I want to buy. I'm not going to accept major compromises when buying something that costs $50k.

Especially since you can't get a extended cab one anymore.
Yup, that would be a BIG "No Sale" for me....do not need/want 4 doors !!!
Would have to jump up to an F-150....would not even consider a Chebbie, Fiat, or furrin brand.

Yeah I get it. I bought my 5G Lariat used and only cost 30k. It is in excellent shape and most would consider as new. Previous owner took immaculate care of it. Saved a bundle buying used and left plenty of wiggle room for a few mods.

Agree totally, with one minor tweak. I'd jump over the 150 and go Super Duty. Not much more money but a shitload more truck. Just me. No right or wrong.

And NO, not a diesel. That 7.3L gas is one sweet engine.

Haven't really seen much of the 6g's but I like my 5g better just on overall looks that I have seen. I have a '19 XLT that has been up-optioned with some things so it's almost a Lariat as it is. Still looks new and is as good as with only 16k miles on it. I added running boards and the engine cover, and only real work I have had to do with it was fixing the ACC sensor after an accident knocked it loose. Only damage to my truck was that and it was just a headache working it out.

I'd like to have the 6G bed for sure, the "48.whatever inches " between the wheel wells is VERY handy and I didn't realize my 5G didn't have it until it's first HomeDepot trip , where I considered going back in and getting a sledge hammer to remedy it...

Yeah, that one of the very few advantages to the 6G - the other one that intrigues me is the Trailer Backup assist - but neither of them come anywhere close to the biggest feature my truck has - it is paid for.... Not to mention the extras I've installed on it to make it do what I need which I'd have to re-do on a new truck.
