Hello all, I work out of my truck in remote locations. I carry 800 pounds plus on a daily basis and the rangers stock springs and shocks are not liking it. I'm frequently on dirt/gravel ranch roads and lease roads. looking for recommendations. I have been looking at the OME medium leaf springs and the heavy but medium seems like it might not be enough and the heavy seems like it would be to heavy and give a rough ride. I spend a lot of time in this truck and don't want to get beat to death with an overly stiff suspension. truck is a 2020 ranger xlt with fx4 package. it has a small 1-1.5 inch front leveling kit that was on it when I bought it. I will be putting new front suspension on also. Thanks in advance.

Air bags? Used them successfully on my 2005 F150 to level with trailer hauling. Allows adjustment, at least on the rear.

Good luck!

I'll second the Roadmaster Active Suspension set up. I believe I was the first to install a setup a few years ago to help with towing our travel trailer. The rig as loaded has around a 700 lb tongue weight, along with the stuff carried in the truck bed.
After using for several years, I wouldn't be without it.
The RAS system acts like an air bag set up, a sway bar, a traction bar, and a track bar all in one. You can set up the springs to compensate for heavier loads. And, the system costs less than just the sway bar by itself, and also less than an air bag system.
But it is a passive system meaning when running empty/solo it still gives a good ride...not harsh at all. Start loading the truck up and you will notice there is no sag to the rear...the systems springs compensate for added weight. There is a bit of "squat" until the springs in the system start to compensate for the added weight.....same as adding more air to an airbag system, but it is done automatically.
Along with a good set of shocks, and you probably won't notice the weight being carried.
Also, consider a pair of Sumo Blue Bump Stops.....much much better than the OE bump stops. Prevents the "jarring" when the frame contacts the bump stops.

Thanks for all the input, you guys gave me some suggestions I had not thought of. I have ordered the old man emu 600lb constant load leaf springs, OME nitro charger shocks for these springs and a set of the sumo blue bump stops. I think that should pretty well set me up in the rear for the weight I'm carrying. going to get the rear done and see how it sits then decide what to do up front. I really wanted to pull the trigger on the OME BP-51 shocks but just couldn't get myself to spend over a thousand dollars on a set of shocks.
Thanks again.

I've got those springs with NX2 shocks (same parent company as fox and only $50). It's a huge difference, but I'm thinking I should've gone with the medium load springs for when I tow heavy. Might grab the OME add a leafs for $90 and throw those on with longer u bolts.

I also added a BDS long shackle to give an extra inch of lift, I don't hit my bump stops much anymore.

It rides sooo much better now, the factory springs and shocks were such pieces of trash. Thanks Furd accountants ?
