My motorcycle insurance was ridiculous cheap. Something like $45-$60 a year for full coverage.
Guessing RP might be riding a crotch rocket or something often crashed or stolen, even with a good clean record and being older, they hit you hard with insurance on those. A standard or dual sport is cheap like you meantioned. Never owned a Harley, might be cheap as well. My last R6 I was paying over $1000 a year, depends where you live though, that was near DC.

Or he is riding a dual sport and has a crap load of tickets. ?

Some of us will still have to go to work.
But nowhere else, for sure.
We're already going back to what we did back in '08 when they were high, trying to combine multiple trips into one. Figures as we're supposed to do a month long road trip in June through 4-5 states. We'll probably still go (depending on how high gas climbs) and only hit 2-3 states. It seems like every year now something new pops up that messes with the economy and our lives. :(

Same here; 5,000 mile trip at the end of June but I was already budgeting for this in December when I booked camping sites because it was pretty clear Russia was going to go to war and no matter where the war is, oil prices go stupid.

Small trucks like Rangers are viewed as gas savers. Big trucks like an F150, gas hogs. I’m waiting for the market to crash on full size trucks and then I’ll simply trade my Ranger in, even swap for what use to be a $60K F150 Lol. Ok, pipe dream but never say never. Of course when the market rebounds, trade back in for a tidy profit on a new Ranger. ;)
The Ranger is my daily and gas mileage is almost 50% better than the Sport Trac I had before. I call that a win. 14-15 mpg on the Trac and 20-21 mpg on every tank in the Ranger. I put on about 20,000 miles a year.

No doubt, they do well. Public perception is…well…interesting. Full size trucks will have issues if there is not a solution soon.

Damn, I don't know. I've had crotch rockets, and all other types of motorcycles. I've never paid more than $150 a year even at my younger age. I've never been in an accident though. 38 Years old now.

I only drive about 10k miles a year and can adjust so I'll survive, but the people who drive double or triple that might want to consider a Maverick Hybrid.
Honestly a Hybrid Maverick would be better for my long commutes but the Ranger won me over by cool factor alone...I'm a sucker

I've had some cheap insurance rates on bikes in the past but that was for liability only. I rode cheap import bikes then an the cost of full coverage would pay for the bike in 2 or 3 years. I pay $201 for full coverage on my street glide. That's for riding 7 months an storing 5 months. It'd be around $260 for full coverage 9 months an storage Dec, Jan, Feb. I never asked about year round coverage because I'll never ride in the cold.

I was about $1800/yr for the bike. 1600 for the truck.
Damn! I currently pay $105 for two vehicles, both full coverage. My Ranger and wife’s 2018 Tucson.

That's crazy prices for bike insurance. When I had my sport bikes they were usually around $300-$400/yr for full coverage. I'd usually cancel them in late October and renew them in March so it ended up cheaper than that.
