Man, all of these posts make me want to just cancel my 2023 order and march in to a dealer and pay the $3,000 ADM just to get one off the lot…

I'm the biggest skeptic here and I say don't do that.

I would have done that if they had anything in stock that wasn't in a horrid color. We test drove a Tremor Lariat in Cyber Orange (shudder) which was all they had on the lot.

That’s actually my main reason to wait it out. There’s a black Tremor on a lot nearby but I know if I got it the second I saw an azure gray one I’d kick myself for not waiting.

My dealer called me a week or so after I ordered my truck to say that they had a Black Tremor and if I wanted it. I turned them down because (a) I've had black vehicles before and they show *every* imperfection (dirt, scratch, ding) like it's a neon sign (b) I really didn't want the Tremor package due to the "steps" and the seats...I didn't want the suede inserts as I don't think they'll hold up as well as the "leather". My 2005 F250 (which the Ranger is replacing) has leather and is only now starting to crack.

Had a black truck once. Never again. That's the final form of sadomasochism.

I got the shipped email this morning. It is supposed to be here between September 8th and the 14th. I am cautiously optimistic.
That's really encouraging, good luck!

No word from Ford, no real hope. Hope everyone gets their Ranger sooner than expected.
I am out of here.
thank you all.
Dude, cant tell you what to do, but.........
Backnin February i ordered a nw ranger. Salesman told me 4 to 6 weeks. I laughed.
I laughed because i am a member of this forum. Read about the stories here and the delays. I told the salesman realistically id see it September or October. So.....just saying that seems to be the norm unfortunately. Looking for a new car for my son, and yes, it seems ordering your car is the right now trend :(

I agree with some of the posts it's just the new norm in a way, but it still stinks, no one will argue that. I'm sorry you have had to wait; you have some very good car karma coming your way. The car gods will shine brightly on you when your time comes.

What does piss me off is the idea that ordering mud flaps or floor liners can hold your order without any feedback. That's just stupid. If I ordered a Ford today, I'd buy it in silver with steel wheels and rubber floors (oh wait, I already did that).

IMO Ford should let you know with some items...

If mud flaps (or whatever) are unavailable when your truck is submitted for build, they will be omitted at no cost. If you would like to delay your order and wait for mud flaps, you can do so by checking here [x]

I would delay my order for the tow package or the locking diff only. I don't NEED any other additions.

....

Imagine ordering a pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms, but the restaurant is out of mushrooms, but they don't tell you. They just set your pizza aside (with the cheese and pepperoni already on there) and wait for the mushrooms to come in.

When you ask the manager for your pizza, they say it's still being made, it's likely delayed on ingredients. You ask which ones, but the manager says she can't see that info; you'll need to ask your server. You ask the server, who is nice, but doesn't know how the pizzas are cooked - it's a secret and you just need to wait (and shouldn't be concerned about the quality of your pizza).

You sit down and theorize what's wrong with your order? Did you add something wrong? Did your server fill-out the ticket correctly? Is there anyone working in the kitchen? Will my pizza be the same price when it's finished? Should I just go across the street to 7-11 and get a pizza?

You look around and see that others are waiting for pizzas.. the old man in the corner looks like he may die while waiting... you wonder what happens to his pizza if he dies waiting...? How much would I pay for that pizza right now? It has BBQ sauce?!? GROSS! I'll take it, here's an extra ten bucks!

On your way out the door a group of college girls walks in the pizza shop to pick up their pepperoni and mushroom pizza(s). They ordered them ten minutes ago and get a free two liter. You hold the door for them without a thank you take your BBQ fish pizza home to find out it's on a cauliflower crust.

Is this really the world we live in, Ford? You can do better.

I figure it will get here in October when the rains set in. I only live about a mile from the dealer and figured I could walk over to pick it up. :rain:
I love that! Unless it is raining of course

My dealer up front told me about the items that were under a constraint and would probably cause a delay. But I think the issue gets compounded by what is a constraint item this week or month may not be next week or month, so you would to be constantly checking, get accurate info, and possibly updating your order.

You know, in this day and age it is incredible that there is not a on,one system to be able to show that for each order in ’somewhat’ real time and give some of the power back to the customer on if the want it more quickly or if they really want the packages/customization.
