Got a shipping reschedule finally for 4/22 to 4/28. Not sure it will happen but at least I feel like they still know they have it.

I like how they send those when it's already halfway through that window. That's how a previous bump was for me. At least this time it's 5/2-5/8. I still don't believe it though, it would already have to be moving to make that delivery window.

This is a Super Crew XLT 300A with FX4. Not much going on here which probably explains how quickly this thing has moved through in two months. Dealer salesman told me "September" but I doubt I'd be waiting THAT long. Then again, as I'm seeing here, some of you have been waiting 6+ months now...damn.

Sometimes you just get lucky and they're running a certain group down the line and you're in the right place at the right time. Same goes for the shipping as they group them into zones and if there's not enough to fill the rail cars they just sit. More so now with all the labor/carrier shortages.

I had that happen with my Jeep. I ordered October 23rd and there were many who ordered way before me, even some who didn't get theirs build for '21 and carried over into '22. I was one of the first ones build in December when the changed over to the '22 year and they still hadn't had theirs built. Heck some didn't get theirs built until mid to late January.

I really question if there is any rhyme or reason for what Ford does. My order was confirmed on 10/21/21 by Ford and scheduled for production and a VIN assigned on 10/28/21. The 10/28/21 email had my truck scheduled to be built the week of 1/3/22.

I may have missed if someone else said this, but sometimes when you place an order, the Ford dealer will use their own email address rather than yours, so you won't get the updates.

Some forum members have asked their dealer to change it and then they start getting them, directly from Ford.

i wondered about that. my salesman told me ford would email him and myself with updates, but he had to forward the order approval email to me. i dont want to contact him again and get a nice pat on the head with "calm down and be patient little man, good things will come to those who wait." screw that

I hear you on that, I don't like reaching out to my dealer too much either. To them, they deal with this everyday and have a frame of reference for it all. But for the normal folks like us, we don't! This is the first car I've ever ordered, so I am clueless (except for what I learn on this forum).

On that Long McArthur Ford YouTube channel, the guy that does the videos said something about Ford reducing the number of emails going out in the last few months. It may be all emails or maybe only regarding Maverick orders (his streaming sessions are long and mostly about Mavericks, so I wasn't paying close attention).

I don't know if that's true, I've only gotten three emails from them, and I ordered in late January.

And my sales guy said he'd only have more details once it was shipped ... waiting sucks!

My dealer is great. It helps I am friendsthe owners, so I'm not worried about communication getting dropped from their end. I am fortunate that I can wait as long as needed, I know that is not the case for a lot of people.

With that said I knew it may be a while, but it is a little disappointing there isn't a little more communication during the wait. You would think that if Ford was serious as adopting this process mainstream, the would figure out a better way to help alleviate the wait by updating customers during different phases.
Instead of just large swaths of "silence" , send an email that says" we will be having another scheduling period on x date, while we cannot determine if your vehicle will be in this grouping, we understand the anticipation of your vehicle is high and wish to keep our customers as updated as possible."
While it may seem like placation, it does help break up the wait.

Called Ford support this morning and found out my truck will be delivered Thursday April 28th. I know people have waited weeks with their truck built before being shipped. I was lucky and my truck was built and shipped the next day. Still have been waiting 6 months.

I guess I can start ordering for it. What first tailgate damper? I don't know how many miles I should have on it before putting a tune on it but that is one of the first things.

depends. if yur built like this you probably shouldnt waste yur money
