Support group for those waiting for their Ranger MY22

Lariat SCAB 500A, towing package, cactus gray. And of course, not by me, but LED headlight/fog delete and auto stop delete (I had on my last Mini Cooper and had no issue with the feature).

Just my opinion, I’m not a mechanic, but have had a wrench in my hand since I could hold one and am 51 now, built a few impressive motors in my time……auto start/stop feature should not be used on a turbo equipped vehicle, they need to cool down for a min or so before shutting motor off, especially when loaded up. I was happy to see mine deleted so I didn’t have to figure a way without manually doing every time. My two cents…..had my Ranger for almost a month now, could not be happier with it, was a long wait (just over 7 months) but now seems worth it! Cheers all ?

This was in the email I got from Ford when my order was placed:

"As part of the quality assurance process at Ford Motor Company, customer orders are only built when all quality checks have been met. This process may lead to a longer wait time for your vehicle to be built, but is designed to help ensure your satisfaction."

The way I read that; the longer you wait, the more satisfied you should be.

Got another email from Ford today stating that the build week for my truck has been pushed back again. This time two weeks to the week of 9/12.

I originally posted this question on the MY23 support group thread, but it was suggested I ask it here since you guys have more experience with the process.

I was wondering at what point my order should show up in My Account on Ford.com when I click on Reservations and Orders. I placed my '23 order on 8/25 (confirmed same day by Ford). But, when I click on this tab, it says I have no orders or reservations. I know with the Order Tracking site, I have to have a VIN before I can start tracking my order. Is that also the case for the Order/Reservation page on the My Account site?

That'll happen just before or just after the truck gets built. No rush

Well, the last 4 Tuesdays yielded a build delay email from Ford. Yesterday no email! I hope this is a good sign. ?

so, if it takes 10 months from in production to built, I get a better vehicle?

Your Ranger will not show under Reservations and Orders. I was told by a Ford rep that is for specific vehicles only (Maverick, Lightning, etc.). Could be wrong, but...

Well, after 5 months of waiting and quietly following this thread my 22 tremor XLT was delivered to West Herr Ford last night just 4 hours after I received my “ production is complete” email .

Ordered 3-31-22
Conformation 3-31-22
Scheduled 6-30-22
Production began 8-17-22 ( one week early ) no email
Production complete email 8-30-22
Delivery 8-31-22
