Right.The plot thickens.......
The eagle has been spotted in the tree line, preparing to build a nest, before it takes flight and lands in your driveway...The Eagle has landed! Or maybe I should say the Eagle has taken flight. I got my VIN and build date a few moments ago.
"We are excited to let you know your 2023 Ranger XLT Supercrew® has been scheduled for production. Your vehicle is scheduled to be built the week of November 14, 2022."
It's a Ranger XLT 302A, Tech Package, FX4, Trailer Tow, Sport Package. Order placed 8/11.
I hope others get their VINs today, too.
I got my email also for the 14th.The Eagle has landed! Or maybe I should say the Eagle has taken flight. I got my VIN and build date a few moments ago.

I see a lot of people in the 22 forums who ordered in March. What about those that ordered when banks were first opened that would be more applicable to the folks I. And if you ask the folks in the '22 thread they'll tell you to be ready for multiple months of delays and issues....
Me, I'm being optimistic... LOL
I've seen that article, and others like it... One thing I've noticed in most of the articles is that it seems to be super duties and large frame vehicles.I’ll just leave this heree

Sucks to hear about your ordering issues. Why the first dealer wouldn't want an easy sale is beyond me, but you probably dodged a bullet by finding another dealer anyways.I've joined the MY23 support group after a dealer sat on my order and didn't ever submit. I'm real salty because I stopped by to make the order 8/4 and I'm seeing people that ordered that day with build dates next month.
I moved on to dealer #2 9/13 and got a confirmation email the next day! Still haven't gotten a COVP yet. I've been following up with the dealer and today they told me that the COVP comes from Ford after they send in a signed order summary and driver's license. Is that true or does the dealership fill and submit the COVP? I'm not sure how hard to push on this...I hate to be annoying but I also don't know how long my current truck is going to run.
Order details: SCAB, XLT, FX4, 301A, cactus grey. I cancelled my initial plan for spray in bed liner and plan to get it done locally.
Thanks for posting this.Turns out the dealer was right, I got my build date of 11/14 today. So I'm not sure how important the COVP is, maybe it just acts as confirmation that the dealer actually sent the information in. I'm still planning on the truck arriving in March, but if it arrives earlier it would be great.
Also, it looks like Thursday really is the magic day for build dates.
Right? The COVP seems like a way to have peace of mind that your order was submitted correctly, IMO. Glad you got a build date scheduled! Thursdays are when Ford assigns production weeks/days. Ford told me that they estimate my truck to be delivered the week of 11/8 with a 10/19 build date. So I guess about 3-4 weeks between production and delivery to CO. But yes, haha, plan for longer so early arrival is a pleasant surprise.Turns out the dealer was right, I got my build date of 11/14 today.
