Thanks, I was wondering if a battery operated one would work.
Yup, don't underestimate a battery impact wrench...
I have a Lowes Kobalt 24 volt 1/2 inch drive impact, 650 ft lbs rating.
Used it numerous times on our previous E-450 based motor home to remove the lug nuts when rotating the 6 tires. Never failed to remove or tighten those lugs.
Still carry it with our new trailer on the road to remove trailer/Ranger lug nuts and operate stabilizer jacks...7 years old with the original batteries.

I got a Milwaukee surge 18v 1/4 inch impact. That thing if not careful will shear bolts and screws right off.

So decided to take a look at my SCABS bed and I’ll be damed. It’s flush on passenger side and inset about 1/2 an inch on drivers side. Now my OCD will be chirping in my ear forever or, until I get under there, loosen the fasteners and shift it over to center!

Thanks a lot for pointing that out! ?

If you would just look at it like this, the difference goes away...not noticeable at all.....

I really didn't want to bring it up for I have the OCD problem too. I can't not see it now. Only noticeable when I look out my side passenger mirror.

Yours looks the same on both sides. That wouldn't bother me as much, at least they are evenly spaced on both sides. If I can move mine over a 1/4 inch then they would be the same on both sides. That will cure my OCD.

Wow. Mine is just as you describe yours to be. Driver's side flush, passenger side inset 1/2" or so. But I never noticed it till now. Probably I won't do anything about it. I ain't got no time fo' dat!

"Well, see, I have this slight problem with the bed...it just dosen't seem to line up properly.
Maybe your body shop can tweak it a bit so it looks even" ???

If you are actually going to buy an air impact I would suggest a battery 1/2 inch impact. My Dewalt has 1200 lbs of torque. I never use my air impact anymore no hose to drag around. My friend bent a 3/4 inch breaker bar using a cheater trying to get off a axle nut. He was going to borrow his brothers IR that had 700 lbs of torque. I told him I could get it off with my battery impact. Like always he called me a liar. I went over to his house and it came off like it was already lose. He was very impressed. Plus you can take it anywhere because you don't need air.
I have the Dewalt, too. It is a beast!

I never noticed any misalignment on mine, but at almost 1:00 am here on the east coast I'm going out in the dark with my trusty flashlight to check

Mine is fine, never noticed cause there was nothing out of alignment, so now i can sleep peacefully with the thought of one less correction on this truck that i have to make that Ford failed to do.

Are any Super cab owners having issues with the bed aligning with the cab on the sides? My new Super cab the cab on the passenger side is about a 1/2 inch wider than my bed. The driver side is perfect
Got any pics of the misalignment?
