Are any Super cab owners having issues with the bed aligning with the cab on the sides? My new Super cab the cab on the passenger side is about a 1/2 inch wider than my bed. The driver side is perfect

Wow, that would suck to have to take it back to the dealer or body shop to get it aligned. But I would bring it up now if you can't live with it...

Probably just a matter of loosening the bed bolts and tapping the drivers side bed with a 3 lb sledge hammer to move it the 1/4 inch necessary.
It may have been done intentionally to put more weight on the drivers side to get rid of the dreaded "lean"

I did bring it up and took it to the dealers body shop and they were going to align the bed . But when I took it in they said it could not be aligned. I am not believing that so I will take it to my body man and get his opinion. If you look down the side of the bed from the rear to the cab you can see it. Walking down the side it is not noticeable.

Your talking about moving it this much > --- < Pretty sure any decant body shop could loosen the bed bolts and move it 1/4 inch without any problem.

That is crazy. Do they weld the bed and the cabs to the frame so there is no adjustment. I would call BS

There are 6 bolts 3 on each side as far as I can tell. I haven't been able to break one loose yet as I need to get an air impact.

It is a bit sad and I would be super frustrated that I ordered a $40K item and had to get get the impact wrench out (or go purchase one, or pay a body shop) to make adjustments because the workmanship quality was not up to par. Especially if the dealer said 'looks good to me and it can't be fixed anyway."

If you are actually going to buy an air impact I would suggest a battery 1/2 inch impact. My Dewalt has 1200 lbs of torque. I never use my air impact anymore no hose to drag around. My friend bent a 3/4 inch breaker bar using a cheater trying to get off a axle nut. He was going to borrow his brothers IR that had 700 lbs of torque. I told him I could get it off with my battery impact. Like always he called me a liar. I went over to his house and it came off like it was already lose. He was very impressed. Plus you can take it anywhere because you don't need air.

Off topic (but at least still FoMoCo) - But I had to remove the rubber drain plug from my Jaguar radiator to change the thermostat housing. This is the preferred and best method from the Jag forum for removal, a nickel in a pair of vise grips. The nickel started off not being bent. When I reinstalled the plug it didn't straighten the nickel back out....

Thanks, I was wondering if a battery operated one would work.
