I don't plan on going off road ever so what would be a good street tire size and brand to run? I'm in Socal so a summer tire would work all year round for temperature purposes. Are there any with the same size sidewall or would I have to size up on the wheel to match the same overall diameter? I'm Interested in better on-road handling, traction, mileage and comfort etc as compared to the stock tire.

I look forward to seeing how this thread plays out. When the day comes I need new tires, I already know I want to keep my stock 17" wheels ('19 XLT Sport 2WD) but move to a bigger overall street tire. I'll admit to valuing a quite and smooth ride over off-road capabilites. Truck came with Bridgestones, and so far they've been quieter than the Michelins on my wife's Edge.

For a GOOD overall tire that would get you what you want I would suggest the Michelin LTX M&S. It is a great all season that is both comfortable and provides good traction and you can load it with no problems when it comes to towing. My parents used them year round in Michigan and disnt have any problems. In California you should be just fine.

Thanks for the advice. I'm running the stock sports package wheels. I'm not sure it's really necessary to change from the stock tires as they do a good job for comfort and noise as it is, but it seems unneccesary to have off-road tread when Its soley a highway and road daily driver.
