Hi guys! Just received my brand new Ranger XLT FX4 and i have some questions for you.

I know there's a lot of threads about that and i am now well informed. Thanks to you guys.

But i still need your opinions on what i'm about to do. So right now i'm looking into getting either the RC 2.5 leveling or the BDS leveling kit with the fox struts. I know it's not the best option to go with but my budget is rather low at the moment and i intend to go for the eibach complete set in about a year or a year and a half.

My question is... if i plan to go mild off roading sometimes and that i drive about 2500miles a year. Is it bad to go with RC or BDS kit for a year and a half considering those datas?

My second question (if i'm allowed to ask it here). With the truck leveled and stock wheels. Will i be able to fit 32/32.5 inch tires without rubbing? Or i absolutely need to install those low profile crashbars?

That's all i need to know for the moment. Thank you a lot!

Expect a lot of different responses because opinions are like a$$holes - everybody has one. Here’s mine, fwiw.

The RC 2-1/2” kit is an inexpensive way to get the look and clearance you’re seeking. It will also allow you to go up to a 32” tire with limited crash bar issues, as long as you stick with those stock wheels as planned. You can always go with something just under 32 and be fine.

I have the RC kit and 32.2” tires on aftermarket wheels with +15mm offset. I almost rub but likely would off-road. I changed the bars just to be sure.

A lot of guys here have the RC level and do a ton of off-roading. Their stock struts and rear shocks aren’t ideal but they do the job. @AzScorpion has the 2-1/2” kit with 31.6” tires (I think). His Sabre Supercrew looks great and he wheels the pants off it on a regular basis.

All this to say, you should be fine. ?

Well that's one good answer! I appreciate it a lot. I guess i'll go with the RC for now and stick with 31.6'' . If i feel like upgrading in a year or two i'll look for the eibach kit. I must admit bith of your rangers look badass!! Well thanks again for your answer!

Oh yeah i forgot! What about that negative camber at the front? Once the RC kit is installed is it possible to keep that camber? i'm in canada and it must help a lot in the snow. will i need some new camber bolts?

I have the RC 2.5" struts and I am happy with them. Really good ride quality. I also have their rear shocks. No complaints. One thing though, and this doesn't apply to everyone, but once I lifted the front of my truck I started having driveline vibration issues, just FYI. These trucks are extremely sensitive to lifts. Some have issues, some don't. If you do some research on here, you'll see I am not the only one whos had issues after a leveling lift. I am waiting on a one piece driveshaft from Tom Woods and hopefully that will fix my issues.

Oh well i didn't know about that issue...fingers crossed then...and thanks for all the infos. The rear shocks must really help with the ride quality. Right now it feels a bit weird but nothing dramatic

You’ll need a wheel alignment after the level or lift - it is fine in the snow at the factory settings. I’ve been through two Canadian winters with mine.

I’m in Toronto, where abouts are you Nick?
