So lately I often hear the sound of a small object rolling what sounds like the entire length of the ceiling/headliner when I accelerate or stop relatively hard.

Sometimes when I go around a curve I hear it roll side-to-side.

Anyone else ever hear this? What in the heck could it be?!

Can you hear it if you tap on the headliner?

Ugh. I was afraid this answer would make show its dreaded face. How big of a job is this?
do a couple nascar style rips around the block to make sure it is to one side and you shouldn't need to take the whole thing down. IIRC remove the trim around the edge and you should be good. again that goes back to how well you pretend to be [insert nascar driver's name here] left turns only and it will be on the passenger side, right turns only, driver side

my question is, does it sound like metal on metal? plastic on headliner?
