Here’s my 2021 Ranger SXT FX4 so far! I’m building it up to be my daily driver, RZR hauler, tool hauler, hunting rig(when it’s too cold for the RZR), occasional off road trail rig. I live in southern Utah so off-roading is everywhere. For those who don’t know the southern half of Utah is the off-road capitol of the world.
So far I’ve thrown in:
-Bora 1” Spacers
-FOX 2.0 Stage 1 Suspension Kit (sitting 1” lower in the front)
-Toyo Open Country AT3 in 275/65R18 (32x11ish).

I’m sitting level enough with a little room for payload. The tires rub a little on the front crash bars so I’ll probably just pull them out (and put them back in when I roll into the dealer for service). I’m thrilled with the look and ride so far. These tires should be massively better off-road/snow than the stock Dynapro ATMs.

Next on the list is a camper shell. Torn between a Leer and ARE.

Question: Going from a 30” tire to a 32” tire do I really need to go to the dealer to have them change the programming for the speedometer?

I went to Toyo AT3s, 255/80 17, this summer.

They have been a massive improvement over the 'kooks in the snow. Good choice.

You can adjust speedometer for the new tire size using Forscan. No need for dealer.

Are you planning on getting a rooftop tent? If so, consider a Snugtop. They sell a 'Sportsmen's Package' which includes a reinforced roof able to support 500lbs.

Forscan is a free program that lets you make computer adjustments on Ford's. You can adjust tire size as well as add things you may not have from the factory and make little tweaks to things. Do a search on here and you'll find a list of all the things you can do. All it costs is a $50 USB to OBD2 cable

To each his own, but i personally wouldn’t even bother For that small of a difference. Its probably 1-2 mph difference at 70mph and the mileage and mpg difference are nominal. The 1-2 mph speed difference will be faster than it reads on the speedo, so just be cognizant of that

It is just under 4mph at 70. Not big deal but silly easy to correct.

I’m less concerned about the Speedometer, more concerned about accurate tracking on the odometer.

Alright here she is! Alignment is done. I did have some rubbing, so I wound up removing the front crash bars. The rear crash bars cleared just fine. She doesn’t sit perfectly level (about an inch low in the front), but I intend to order a camper shell this year so I may need that inch! If I wind up wanting more height with the shell I’ll likely add a block to the rear, and adjust the fronts up an inch and a half or so! For now I’m pretty thrilled with how she looks. I’m sitting at 14” to the frame in the middle (break over point). I’m happy with that.

Here’s my current conflict. I was going to leave the steps on the side as they’ll protect the rocker panel/doors from rocks flying. However I realized the brackets actually mount to the body and not the frame. I worried if I hit a nice sized rock with enough force it could mess up the body, so I took them off! I wonder if there’s a company that makes some rock slider or something that mounts to the frame and covers up the underside of the side skirt. Maybe that but if aluminum it’s mounted to is tougher than I think…
