After my SiriusXM trial period ended I stopped my subscription and plan to use my iPhone files as my music source. I hoped that my Sync 3 system would immediately recognize my iPhone music and begin playing when I started my Ranger. That worked for a few months, but now a notice pops up asking me to call Sirius and get a subscription, which is becoming annoying. I have to select “Bluetooth“ in the Source menu to get my music. Does anyone know how to delete the SiriusXM app in the Entertainment Menu, or set the default selection to Bluetooth?

I would try calling Sirius and tell them you want to cancel your membership. They are probably still carrying you on the books hoping to get you to resubcribe. This link I would think has to be coming from them. I never used Sirius and have never received any message about Sirius. I don't thnk
sync would generate this message on its own.

Are you having battery issues? It should remember your last used source and stay on it.

Agreed that I don't think that this comes from Sync. I've never used Sirius XM in the Ranger, and mine always defaults to either the radio or my MP3; whichever was last in use.
Mine too. Of course I went into Forscan and disabled Sirius XM as a source, so I don’t see it at all.

There's another link in here on Sirius deletion in forscan. You can also leave your radio set to an fm station ... Or just use the on steering wheel station changer to skip past and use your phone as audio source...

I have never used XM, but if I ever accidently hit the program button to move from FM 2 to FM 3 one to many times it goes to XM. Then for the next 2 months I get mailers asking me to subscribe. Annoying for sure.

Forscan is the only way to go. Best mod ever for any Ford product!
Thanks for all the comments. Maybe I can get Sirius to delete my Ranger account while maintaining my subscription on my SUV, and stop the notification. I shouldn’t have any battery issues (my Ranger only has a thousand miles on it). I’m not familiar with forscan; I’ll have to research that. I had hoped there was a way to delete the app, but I’m sure Sirius and Ford don’t want to make it easy to bypass this.

Here’s the thread. So much you can do. It’s really the best “mod” of all https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/threads/forscan-modifications.1844/
