I mostly stream music from my phone through Apple Carplay or through Satellite radio and rarely listen to terrestrial radio. I'm concerned that after a 3.5" lift that the stock antenna won't fit through my garage door, so I ordered the 2" stubby antenna @rangerdanger posted earlier.

Most FM and HD stations are still coming in clearly, but a few stations aren't coming in as clearly as before.

Looks good!

That's a cheap mod that really improves the looks.

I'm torn between the 2" and 4" replacements. Both look really good!

I occasionally think about changing to the smaller antennas and I would definitely go with the 4" for possible better reception.

Some reviews on Amazon have reception issues.
Maybe those people are in the boondocks, though.

If the shorter antennas work well, why wouldn't Ford use them?

I have a 3 1/2 inch stubby version coming today. Had used similar on older Rangers with no problems!

I would like to hear some feedback about reception. I can't imagine there being a massive issue as I know a lot of cars with smaller antennas.

I could not get the "Stubby" branded one up here, but the one I got is not bad. There is definitely some signal loss but it doesn't seem too bad , not enough to bother me anyway and Im fairly rural.

I think I'm going to go with this one. It's made of copper.
I really only listen to XM. So if there's any minor reception loss, I won't notice it. Plus the short antenna would affect AM radio more which I never listen to.

Well, the one above I bought from Amazon is going back. Screw end is too big. I'll have to go with the Stubby or other brand. Anyone have a part number or link to fit the Ranger.
The one I bought said it was for '09-'19 F-150.

Just ordered the 4" on Amazon.
Thanks!!!
That's the exact one I ordered! Check out posts #9 and 18 for photos.

Edit: I get no obvious signal loss from FM stations with the 4" antenna. The 2" seemed too short.
