  1. Aftermarket bumpers?

What are you guys doing about your front crash bars? I see @psweeney removed them. Is everyone else removing them as well? Does this void the factory warranty?
  2. New Ranger Raptor Engine?

I read a lot of automotive news, especially truck related news. This article in particular caught my eye as the last paragraph has an interesting snippet. https://www.motor1.com/news/359350/nissan-nismo-pickup-rumor/ If it's any consolation, spy shots indicate that Ford is preparing to bring...
  3. Sensible Level

At the end of the day, the only option available right now is a front spacer kit. If you want to add air suspension in the rear, it will likely require a new replacement leaf designed to specifically work with the bag setup. While it is only a matter of time, I haven't seen any options for...
  4. 5 Star Tuning - SPD Performance Exhaust

I mean, it is a 4 cylinder engine. That is probably the best sound I have heard from a new Ranger yet. I like it.
  5. Shorter antenna

What is the stock antenna gain vs the stubbies?
  6. Hennessey Upgrades Coming Soon

Looks like they are going to offer intake/exhaust/tune for 350hp and 385lb/ft of torque. Something tells me the pricing will be such that better gains can be had for far less. I think the only possible benefit would be the warranty coverage and at 3 year/36,000 miles it isn't much of one...
  7. Ranger Suspension, Lift Kits, Leveling Kits

I see now referring back to the post before. You were measuring how far it would drop before bottoming out.
  8. ProComp 2.25" with modified crash bars

Mostly to keep it out of your lap.
  9. Ranger Suspension, Lift Kits, Leveling Kits

How much did you jack the truck up?
  10. FYI: How to Check Your Tire Pressure

    :giggle:
  11. Bak Revovler x4

    Looks great though!
  12. ProComp 2.25" with modified crash bars

The crash bar replacements are interesting! It looks like there are 2 sets to be able to replace the front and rear but I can't really tell.
  13. Team Red vs Team Yellow

Porter Cable which makes Black&Decker, Porter Cable, DeWalt and Craftsman(power tools) manufacturing is a few miles from the house so I have to support the home team. I had field techs abuse DeWalt drills, including a drop off a 2 story house onto asphalt, and they kept working. I think we...
  14. Ranger Suspension, Lift Kits, Leveling Kits

I assume that the smaller spacers does mean you won't have to disassemble as much. I have been told that lower spacers are sometimes the best option due to some odd geometry while upper spacers are better options for other situations. I haven't been able to get a clear answer for the Ranger...
  15. 2020 Bronco?

It is indeed. What is curious is that I saw a post from someone saying they have seen it driving around and that it sounded a bit odd. This leaves hope for a larger engine option in the future. It could have just been the 2.3 as it does sound a little different.
  16. 2020 Bronco?

This thing looks like a hacked up Super Cab with a shorter wheelbase. https://www.autoblog.com/2019/02/28/2020-ford-bronco-spy-photos/#slide-7532729
  17. Ford Testing the new Bronco drivetrain?

The body is obviously a Ford Ranger Super Cab with a chopped bed. The wheelbase is a good deal shorter. https://www.autoblog.com/2019/02/28/2020-ford-bronco-spy-photos/#slide-7532729
  18. Ranger Suspension, Lift Kits, Leveling Kits

An upper strut spacer can limit upward travel while extending lower travel. A lower strut spacer would them limit downward travel while extending upward travel. It looks like ReadyLift is splitting the difference to limit upward and downward travel equally. So while the split kit balances in a...
  19. Ranger Mileage Overstated?

I wonder if the fuel economy will improve a bit after that initial 1000 mile break in period. I have seen that people report performance increases a good bit after that. They are reevaluating their EPA process right now so I am curious to see what they end up with.
