In our case the tesla owners are managers and superintendents.... They had the charging stations installed when they bought the vehicles...

Also doesn't hurt that our director adores them.

Shrug, when I leave I'll be making a few FOIA requests for information that should be made public as it is a municipality... ?
My wife is a government employee. Sounds about right!

I continue to be amazed that people are actually buying these EV's, especially the trucks. There is no possible way to ever break even on any kind of savings, and the battery technology is not even close. The manufacturers are charging people ridiculous prices to be Guinea pigs on unproven products.
You know those is fight-in words with the EV Cheerleader ????

We just put the kibosh on the blue haired that thought it was cool to charge her Leaf on the company dime.

Wondering if your employer pays for people's gas too?
There is a mind set that they should be able to charge at work for free

I canā€™t imagine such a scenario. I thought my Ranger cost too much ($44,000), I will never pay that much again. Probably will never own new again.
Hi Tracy,

You do not have to do that....See me for an X Plan....

best,
Phil

Here is an example. You live outside a metro area and commute into the city daily, but you also want to be able to go offroad on the weekends. Having a electric or small hybrid makes sense. If the costs come down enough.

Electric vehicles have a place, they aren't going to be a solve everything solution.
If you need two cars, you need two cars. Thatā€™s not what Iā€™m saying. In your example above, from a cost perspective itā€™s more economical to hose off the Ranger after the weekend and drive it to work, rather than spending $50k on a Tesla just to commute in.
