Unfortunately my wife and I were in a chain reaction crash. We were #2 of 4 vehicles. Big slow down on interstate and I was going to stop in time. Quick look at rear mirror showed pickup coming fast. Pushed into car in front of us at an angle so my right front took the blunt. Also pushed one lane over and luckily no one in that lane to hit us again. Went down that lane a bit until stopped. Trooper happened to be going by and asked if I could move to shoulder. Was able to get there. Did not leave Ranger and trooper did all the paper work. Really bad time on major interstate and traffic just zoomed by us. Wrecker to an auto body shop I have used before. Got home called insurance and after description of event was told to clear out all my stuff as he suspected I may be totaled. Ranger towed to some facility for inspection. Results, totaled. 5300 miles. At age 79 my last toy but, wife and I OK. Good protection from Ranger.
Last message from Ranger, going to sleep to protect battery. Now that's sad. Sh_t comes at you fast.

Glad you both are safe .

Many years ago the wife was involved in a chain reaction crash as well and she was #3 out of 6 . She had stopped completely 3 feet from the car in front then 2 more cars pushed her into the car in front . The State Trooper gave everyone behind the 1st car a ticket for following too close even though my wife did not initially hit anyone . You could even see where her tire marks stopped then started sliding again because her foot was still on the brakes . I still get pissed when I think about that :(

So sorry to hear about your Ranger. Please keep and eye on yourself and your wife to make sure nothing develops from the accident. You were very well protected by your truck and hopefully nothing further develops beyond a few aches. Prayers and wishes for a great New Year for you and your wife.

Sorry to see that. Glad you are both ok but keep an eye on your self & the misses as things can creep up on you after something like this. Really sucks when you can see it coming & not be able to do anything about it. Good luck.

All that matters is your safe. People are not replaceable but a truck is. It will be totaled for sure. Hope you get good value. Going to wait for 6G or order a 5G?

The key thing being, as you say, "wife and I OK"! (Sorry about your truck, though.)
