Make sure to check things inside the cab too. Under rear seat, behind rear seat, jack etc. You would be surprised. I didn't hear anything like u describe in the video you posted, TBH.

I've taken everything and I mean everything out of the cab and even went so far as to insert all the seatbelts in their clickers while driving to confirm is wasn't that(been an issue with Fords lately).

It's definitely a unique sound that is more apparent from inside the cab but it's even more noticeable sitting in the rear seats.

It just sounds like an Aftershock in the suspension I really can't explain it any other way lol. It's odd and definitely wasn't there the first couple thousand miles. I really hope it's something stupid simple like a loose component or something but it's beyond annoying to drive this truck daily now.

Rewatched the vid after throwing some headphones on, I defn hear something clunking.
Mine had a clunk and went away when I tightened the shock bolts, mine were not tight.

What I would do: Grab some wrenches and tighten or try to tighten everything that moves. Shock bolt, shackle bolts, leaf pivot bolts etc.
If that doesn't fix it, I would crawl all around underneath shaking everything by hand looking for the noise.

Resolved.
.truck spent the day at the dealer. I had shop leader who also owns a 19 ranger ride with me and he agreed it wasn't normal.

They found that the upper bolt for the left rear shock had come loose from not being torqued enough. Also said the spare was upside down?‍♂ and that was causing some of the noise, not sure I believe that part.

Thanks for all the helpful tips along the way hopefully it's nothing but enjoyable miles from here onward

Upside down spare? I just flipped mine so I could monitor the air pressure. I would think having the valve stem on the top is upside down (Came from the factory with valve stem on the top). But what do I know...........
Is your valve stem up or down?

Just checked. Valve stem is up. I think they do that to protect the stem but trying to say that if mounted upside down could cause a noise is absurd. The chain pulls it tight against the rubber pads regardless.

It makes sense to protect the valve stem I guess. And I agree that it is absurd to even mention the orientation of the wheel as a possible source of noise.
I just turned my spare around this morning to check the air pressure in anticipation of a 600 mile road trip this coming weekend. I am going to leave it since I don't do any off-roading other than fire roads and good trails.

That is exactly what my 2019 is doing! Clunks over railroad tracks, uneven seams in the pavement, going in and out of my garage with different floor heights. Comes through loud in the back of the cab. Bed cover rolled up, no change. I've already checked the spare and exhaust. I'll check the shock bolts and other suspension moving parts.

My 2020 Ranger with 5017 miles has been doing this also. It goes into the shop Monday. I'll let you know the results.

Problem Resolved: The Ford dealer's tech removed many parts of the trucks interior (passenger and driver pillars, rear seat belts, rear seat, cabin to outside cab vents, carpet from under the rear window) and noise remained. Tech then put the truck in the air and discovered that "the noise was from the emergency brake cable bracket rubbing up against the frame due to the bolt used to retain this bracket being missing. They replaced the bolt for the bracket and this solved the problem."

I’ve been noticing a similar clunk in the rear end of my XLT. I could make the noise just by bouncing the rear end of the truck. Just went out and crawled underneath and found that both lower shock mounts were quite loose. Tightened them up, noise gone.

I had a similar rattling sound when driving slowly over bumps. I attached my phone to the underbody of the vehicle to diagnose. I thought it sounded like loose exhaust... After some tinkering around, I realized the emergency brake cables rattle against their bracket when the brake is disengaged. They loosen up to an extent that allows rattling. Just what @ScottFromBoise mentioned. A few zips ties later — 100% rattle free.

I've been living with the same rattling noise when driving over bumps for months and it progressively got worse. I taped up the spare tire chain, checked heat shields, parking brake cables, exhaust, looked for loose clips & bolts. Finally found the answer for me on this thread yesterday. The rear passenger side shock had a loose bolt holding it to the bottom bracket. It was barely loose. 3/4 turn at most to tighten it up. No more rattling noise.
Thanks for all of the tips!
