so what ur saying is we need to get everyone here (at least 3 of each brand) and have them tested to their limits…. For the good of the group
Honestly, I'm saying that other people should do that.

Does this mount to the frame or the body? Not sure I like the steps hanging down. Seems like would get caught up on rocks as opposed to sliding over them? This is the reason I removed my Tremor steps and installed true frame mounted sliders.
old thread i know but i wanted to state these are not sliders! these are steps they will smash when a rock hits them and just get hung up on stuff! again these are not sliders they are steps they will cause damage to the truck do not get these thinking the will protect your truck!

Pretty old, but ended up going with Go Rhino Dominator DSS Sliders. Definitely not true "sliders", but they meet my needs pretty well. I just wanted better clearance and something to help me reach stuff on the roof rack...which should be here this weekend!

Did you drill the 24 holes or have them welded? I still have not decided
I drilled them. It wasn’t fun but I managed to get it done by myself. Slow drill speed is the key. If you run the drill too fast then the metal will get hot and make it tougher to drill through. Also the top row is hard to get to. You really need a 90 degree drill to get those in straight. If you know someone who can weld, that would probably the quick and easy route.

I want to weld them for strength and not perforate my frame. But if they get bent or I decide to paint them...?
Regardless I and impressed how well they are made and they are difinetly up to taking hits from rocks and stumps.
