Just got 13.8 mpg on my ranger driving in eco mode. Been driving 10 days on eco mode. And calculated by hand and AI.
13.8mpg. Wtf!?!?!!?!
Got 17.9 in sport mode. Using 91 octane or better. Either something is seriously wrong with my engine, or eco mode sucks a$$!! I have changed nothing in drivingnor the vehicle. Just drive modes. Gonna drive in normal see what it does.

Surprise, AZ to Tucson and back.
27.1 mpg.
2021 XLT 4WD on original Bridgestones.
53K+ miles.

I hadn't driven it since April 15th and wanted to stretch it a wee bit.

~1K difference in elevation. Wonder how much it changed going each way. No matter, it balanced out nicely. I noticed difference with a 500' change from central NC to the SC coast. The best I got was 28.4, but I averaged 27.5 over 15 trips, each ~550 miles round trip. Denser air and flatter terrain may be the difference.

That is excellent mileage!

That is interesting. I would be lucky to hit 21 mpg driving from Phoenix to Tucson. That would be cruising at @ 75 mph.

And that might be some of the difference as I had cruise set at 72. Avg speed for the trip was 48mph. (We took our son and daughter-in-law to lunch at a "gastro pub" near their home).

That fits too... My trips were 75% 55-60, and 25% 70-72.

I get better MPG without cruise too. The truck slows down instead of coasting when on cruise when going up /down hills.

It looses momentum / brakes going down hill to stay at the speed limit then hits the gas going up the next hill. Wears brakes faster, and gulps more gas.

Just hit the cancel on the steering wheel when you're approaching a decline then resume when you're at the bottom of the hill. I do this all the time and still get great mileage.

On our trip to Sedona there's a really steep decline going into the Verde Valley. IIRC it's about a 6% grade and about 1.5 - 2 miles where you can literally not touch the gas and still maintain 85 mph. I just hit cancel at the top and resume when I see my speed getting close to 75 again.

Did a turnaround trip yesterday from Vegas to Glendale, CA then Costa Mesa, CA and back to visit two clients. Roughly 620 miles round trip

Drive there 19.7mpg, ~95% freeway. A light headwind driving there but only doing 75mph. A little traffic in some parts, not stop n go. Cruised down PCH with the ocean for a few miles to the Costa Mesa account. Display was 21 mpg

Drive home, havent gassed up but shows 20.5mpg on display with HEAVY stop n go traffic and going 80mph. More city driving too while in CA after seeing customers.

Stock Tremor I used to get roughly 21-22mpg hwy, got as low as 18-19mpg prior to the tune with the mods on the truck.

The 33" k02 and 1" level took off maybe 1 mpg over stock and the 33" k03 another 1-2 mpg. For a moment, there were times I would do this drive and get only 18mpg.

With engine mods, getting roughly 20mpg is great. Ford tune being the main thing, maybe the downpipe helped a pinch but the tune for sure did.
