32k on my 19' Lariat and my average over the past 8k is 22.3 mpg. My driving s definitely mixed city and highway and I don't have a lead foot. I am tuned by Unleashed only use 93 octane. Truck is leveled and I have 1" wheel spacers, Velossatech Big Mouth and Mishimoto Intake. Anything on the highway above 65-68mph the mileage drops. If I drive all highway around 65mph I'll get 25mpg best.

I drive a lot of rural roads. Some 5ish mile trips between my house and my parents. I have 7500 miles on the truck.
The computer usually says I get between 22.5-24.5, but when I hand calculate it, it’s almost always about 1.6 mpg less (20-23). Completely stock FX4 XLT SuperCab.
23 mpg over a tank (300 miles) is the best I’ve ever gotten.

I was noticing the same ish thing on my end as well between D & tow. Sometimes tow being in a lower gear or staying in a lower gear longer bumped up my mpg, then sometimes D holding the higher gear gets me the better mileage. Weird how that works.

33's on my tremor for ref.

Maybe its due to when you encounter higher resistance at speed and the lugging in the higher gears is more inefficient compared to a gear or two down overall. Just spitballin thoughts
I think that's definitely it.

I observed the same, which led me to run a tank all modes to see.

mine was off by about 1.5 too. There's info on here on how to calibrate it. I was .1 different on the last tank an I don't think it's been more than .4 off since.

This is Tremor Lariat. Went to bigger tires (285/70/17) about halfway through but also roughly around time for winter gas.

Stock 20’ XLT FX4 SuperCrew (Decked). After the first 3000 miles the mph shot way up both local & highway. I get 22-24 commuting to work. This picture is during a 2k mile road trip. Road trips it’s 25-28 depending on speed (70+ to 55 mph, respectively). That didn’t start going so high until after 3k miles. I intermittently use Amoco 93, for the additives, and noticed a mpg hit with cheaper and low grade fuels, of 2 mpg.

I’m at 10,000 miles now and trip 2 is now at 5k miles and 24.2 mpg. Trip 1 is per tank, and it’s been 22-23, worsening with colder engine block, and increasing with a hot engine block.

Almost makes me want a block heater - because it shifts smoother warm, too. Commuting and road trip driving for me is a game in mpg optimization.

Same common observation: loaded with weight or low drag trailer almost had no impact on mpg, unless it was a lot of stop & go traffic. Impressive for its cross section and curb weight.

Almost 2k mile on it.

2wd

Seeing 22.5 if I keep my foot out of it and drive for mpg, 19 if I drive it "normal". Boost is fun!

90% city or stuck in traffic on the highway...

My newly purchased previously owned '19 XL 4X4 with 7,300 miles doing a round trip of 169 miles all highway running 70-80 ( mostly cruise set 75 mph )dash showed 22.3 avg on the screen but i filled it up in town after i got off highway just a short distance from home and it took 9 gals topped off, so that's just shy of 19 mpg, only thing I'm not sure of is the originating full tank was done by dealer and i don't know if they shorted the fill up although the gauge showed filled, that maybe skewing the number diff on the dash, will have to recalculate this tank on another trip.
