At 6500 on the odo of my Super Cab I just did a little 180 mile run. 99% interstate at between 65/70 mph the entire way. Computer thingy showed 27.1. It has always been .2 on the high side, but I'm as happy as a fat kid eatin' cake with 26.9.

Here’s my average for a 350 mile highway trip today. 65-80 MPH, Retrax tonneau, no Yakima rack, Velossa Tech Big Mouth, aFe intake scoop, K&N, FP Tune, 93 octane, Mishimoto Intercooler/piping, Fox 2.0 rear’s, 60 degrees average temp, 38 PSI tires.

side note: this was the last 190 miles (I reset trip 1 for every tank of gas). I was getting around 29.2 for the first 150 miles. Trip was from Atlanta to Southern Pines, NC.

Could you clarify? The odometer shows 190, and the trip was 350. Just trying to understand more on how you got this great mpg...thanks :)

Cold Northern Michigan Winters kill mileage. I have the Livernois tune.

I am at 15000 now, always run 93 fuel and the overpriced mobil one oil have the fpp tune installed with the kn filter. mixed driving city highway and off road / trail. I try to behave but do get a lil heavy on the right foot. best average so far was 24 mpg. I thought that was pretty respectable for a truck and considering all the stuff crammed in the truck. tools food water extra fuel 2 full size spare tires load range e, shovel, recovery gear compressor et al... plus I have the dunlap body type, belly dunlap over my belt. When i do more in town driving the avg heads South real quick into the high teens. The mpg seem to be improving as the truck gets more broke in.

90% city as I’ve been working like crazy since I got the truck. Did 2 100km highway trips and that’s about it. Was great when on the highway.. hoping she comes up a little as it breaks in.

I averaged 25.3 mpg on our day trip to MX last week. This was driving at 75 mph and using 91. I did fill up in Yuma because when we stopped for dinner the Sam's Club there had premium for $3.79 where here it's $3.99.

Lifted on E-Rated 33"s. Otherwise stock.

Hand calculated mileage accross entire tanks. All filled at the same pump, stopped at first click off. All tanks were Colorado premium, 91 octane.

Tank driven in D= 16.15 mpg

Tank driven in Tow= 17.69 mpg

Tank driven in S= 15.56 mpg

Truck only has 1800 miles on it. I have a 66mile commute one way to work so I rack up miles fast. Only have had the truck since Nov 17th. Still getting broke in and we are in winter fuel and extended idleing here in MT for warm ups. Hand calculated Im getting 21.6, computer says 22.7. I run 87 octane tho. I'm getting right around 390 to 410 miles per tank. Much better than my 5.7L Tundra......I imagine once we get to summer weather and I get the FPP tune maybe bump it up to 23 to 24 mpgs and switch to 91 octane will help too.

Those of you who get low milage,,, are you using "Sport"?
Sport and tow/haul lock out the top two overdrive gears [ 9/10]
I know you want the "Fun" facter but if you want mileage ,,,
Use "D" intown [for the start /stop] and on the freeway. [for the overdrive]
You may use "sport" or Tow/haul where speeds are 55 or under. [works best for me]
Also , as this a TRUCK and not a sports car , speeds over 65 will burn much more gass.
Wind resistance from racks or taller trailers will eat a lot of gass but weight in the bed
[I have been loaded to 1400 , me and steel] does not seem to matter much except for stop and go
areas.

See my post above.

I get low mileage because of my big heavy tires and aggressive driving.

However, Tow Mode yields better mileage than D. For me anyways.

I was noticing the same ish thing on my end as well between D & tow. Sometimes tow being in a lower gear or staying in a lower gear longer bumped up my mpg, then sometimes D holding the higher gear gets me the better mileage. Weird how that works.

33's on my tremor for ref.

Maybe its due to when you encounter higher resistance at speed and the lugging in the higher gears is more inefficient compared to a gear or two down overall. Just spitballin thoughts
