Guessing it would need to be programmed.I believe the modem is defective in our 2019 xlt. Cannot connect to ford pass. If I get a new one will it need to be "programed".
I'll search secret menu and see if i can get more info. I pulled a fuse a few weeks ago but I will check that againYou maybe able to see cell signal strength in the "secret menu" on the infotainment screen. Unless you already know for sure the modem is bad
It has been out for 5 or 6 months. When I went through a troubleshooting process with fordpass help line i remember that esn number being there. I'll check that again! The MAIN thing to check - is the Sync Screen - displaying the ESN for the modem.
Like This: Note: This is an Older Sync Version, just a ref for the ESN
Plus also note - Ford Pass just had 2 recent updates - last week, that may be the issue
Yes 2 (in the same week) - sometimes those updates causes it to drop its handshake with the truck. I have a feeling this is your issue.
You may need to (unlink) the truck and (relink it) - The Handshake (Authorization)
