2016 Focus ST maybe Ranger in a couple days.
My previous car with Sync 3 would auto connect every time I'm in the car.

Now in the truck I get a message saying location services are turned off because I don't have a phone connected to Bluetooth, connect a device to disable this reminder"

If I don't manually connect by tapping it on my phone under Bluetooth then it won't sync my location on the FordPass App and I get the dumb message.

I have not updated the sync 3 software to the most recent, I just found that out right now actually. I'll try that first. Otherwise maybe erase/forget the Ranger on my phone and reconnect as a new device.

When this happened to me I uninstalled my phone and then reinstalled it (paired)
It has worked fine sense...

Well I checked last night and it says I have no update. So I must be already running 3.3.

I will uninstall and reinstall my phone and hope that is the fix.

So far just unpairing my phone and repairing it with the truck has worked. Only been in the truck once so can't confirm yet that it is fixed permanently.

Reviving this thread as my truck is now doing this. It will not auto connect to any phone in the system.

Latest Sync 3.3 and phones are a OnePlus 7t, Moto G7 and Pixel 3a, all updated. Unpaired and repaired but still the same issues. Plug in the phones and immediately gives Android Auto, and phones pair then. Unplug and they stay connected until next key cycle. Definitely something with the Sync system itself.
