Since many are getting many miles on the Ford pads, I would stick with them. Why take a chance on an unknown?
At least in the case of the rear pads, there is some form off pad deposit issue with them that several of us have had. I won't be using MC pads again, at least on the rear. Probably not on the front either since there are aftermarket pads more suited to my use case.

I finally was able to look at my rear rotors and they have the same cracking issue that others have reported which is (I'm sure) the cause of my shudder during braking. I ended up ordering Powerstop rotors and pads - see how that works for me.

Let us know how you like them. I was also looking at the PowerStop over OEM pads and rotors!

Jumping in on this older thread cause I wonder if what is pictured is correct? BRF1874 and all 4 pads say LH INNER. I can match them up left and right but…….Is this right? Don’t want to get started only to find out I’m screwed.

Are those your fronts or rears? Problem if they’re rears.

Your part# suggests fronts but ford parts site shows these…

The ones in your picture look like the outers have been swapped for inners.

@jovey70 - looks like you've got 4 LH Inners where you should have one of each: LH & RH Inner, LH & RH Outer

I think that’s the NASCAR Ford Mustang setup. You know, so they can drive 200 mph all afternoon, making nothing but inside left hand turns. ;)

Fwiw.. I'm at 109k with stock pads and rotors. Got a good bit of meat to them.

I think my rotors arent doing so good after a few higher speed stops.

The outer pads do not matter - side specific- but the inners do, the squealer tab (installed) position needs to be down

Finally did my rears at 106k. Mild vibration under heavy braking. Went with power stop, not drilled or slotted. And their heavy duty carbon fiber infused pads. Has a good firm pedal feel now.

Pistons were a pain to retract. Need both pressure and rotation. For me it has always been one or the other.

Fronts will get the same treatment when needed. Probably at 150k lol

Do those come with instructions? Or a video they give a link to?

I’ve never done brakes before. My rears are really bad at only 36k miles and I’d like to do them myself to save some money. The current rotors have marks on them and pulse while braking

Thank you. I’ll give those a watch and find out another tool I need to buy. Gonna need to buy another husky drawer bench at this rate.

Get the biggest tool chest you can afford. I’m sure there’s a Ranger5g model by now - if not, there should be.

You’ll only need the Brake Caliper Wind Back tool for the rears and some folks have managed without it - likely a struggle you don’t want. $30 for peace of mind is a pretty good price.

Calliper brakes are a lot easier than you might think and you’ll save hundreds. Good luck.
