Remote Range

Soo on my old Nissan the remote (Lock and Un Lock) works a couple of hundred feet away. On my new Ranger I can barely 25 feet and it stops working.

There is a range extender available for the remote unlock. I think someone here purchased one but I don't recall the details.

Maybe a new battery would help. Mine works a heck of a lot further tan 25 feet.

I am able to start my truck well over 100FT in a parking lot. That's usually how I find it..LOL

In my experience, the two-way remotes/systems have much more range than the basic ones from Ford. I have the two-way (remote has a light that indicates green or red if it reached the truck based on return feedback from the truck) on my Lariat and can use it easily 200-300 ft away.

use your cell phone and ford app. I unlocked doors and started 15 miles away.

Heck yea, I started mine when I was up in Watertown Wisconsin on business and my wife driving the ranger to work in Florida. I would start the truck 5mins before she got off work and had it cooled down for her. Major brownie points, plus it was just freaking awesome to use it. LOL.
