Bilstein 5100 are nice. over 20k miles and they are still going strong unlike the Eibachs that lasted 5k miles
This is disappointing news as I was considering eibachs

for cheap and overall good quality go Bilstein. i have the eibach 2.0 and they rode good for the first few thousand miles but i now hate them and i should have just saved up and bought the fox 2.5s like i wanted... but live and learn right?

the fox 2.0 is good its a more floaty feeling and great offroad on road kinda 50/50 if you like that kinda ride but over your budget.-$1200

eibach is soft at first then stiff (if its like mine rides hard...).-$100-1100?

bilstien 5100s i wouldnt know since ive never ran the 5100s on any truck i just know they are pretty good. ive ran the 6112s on my tacoma for years and they did great and help up to loads of abuse (not sure if they have that option for the ranger).-$500

you can also do old man emu but i think that kit is 1200??? its a good kit but old man emu does rider a bit harsher and gives more rear rake on the truck.-$1200?

Your wife's Tremor's rear springs are different than the mono leafs on your FX4 and other members have swapped to multi leaf packs and commented how much improved the ride on highways become.

The sources for those are everything from buying factory Tremor springs from someone upgrading to different off-road units to various aftermarket or the leaf packs off of oversea trucks off eBay. Prices are all over the place from $300-ish to over a grand.

The shock/strut replacement has been universally recommended. Over 20K on my Eibachs and still superior to the factory units. That's with the front setting halfway up on stock springs.

I guess the last ride enhancement would be the Super spring Sumo bump stop replacements. $200-ish.

I second this. I went with the Eibach PRO-TRUCK-LIFT STAGE 2 | Coilover Lift System and couldn't be happier.
I loved my Eibach and I'm surprised to here some have had problems with theirs. Maybe it was a bad batch and hopefully not a regular thing.

Mid-Size

After doing my research when I was at that suspension fork in the road I went with Eibach as the vast amount of my driving is on-road. Here is the nut shell of what I discovered looking at the top options.

Fox - has the most play able to soak up tons of rough stuff great for blazing through the back country but you cannot turn that off when you're on pavement.

Eibach - are very firm great for on road performance but do have some play and the length to handle rough stuff, though it will translate into the body more unless you have a lot of tire side wall that can also add to the flex. I maximized this using 16" wheels but 17's can do it too... i wouldn't push anything larger.

Bilstein - is somewhere in the middle of the above two. The Goldie locks of suspension... not too hard but not too soft. Not surprising as the company probably has the most suspension experience across multiple types of vehicles for years as an allrounder while the other two are very task focused. the price is right but you have to swap the top hat which I hate (not impossible but such a pita)... the other two have ready to go in combos making the swap pretty easy.

Good description and why I went with Bilstein since I'm on 22s and 45 sidewall. They're perfect for that setup. Considered the Eibach but others have mentioned the stiff ride, so that wasn't going to work. Have Icon UCAs sitting in a box that I need to get off my duff and install.

I had an FX4 before the Tremor. Difference is night and day. Tremor had a great highway ride.

I wonder if there is a lift involved front to the max and rear that operated the Eibachs to prematurely wear?

I only have mine in the front set to about one inch. Ride is much better and the boss doesn't complain about the floaty feeling anymore.
