Hope you take this as constructive input...but the lines are misaligned and crooked...here's what I'd suggest if you were to make another set...?

I wanted them tapered. So, not crooked to me.

So, first drive with the AFE scoop in conjunction with the Velosatech intake scoop i noticed the air box temps reached ambient quicker and held longer than before the AFE. The Velosatech previously increased slightly better than the scoop I made. I also used a bit of foam weatherstripping to seal the bottom of the AFE scoop since it doesn't have anything and you can't transfer the stock gasket. I'll be doing another mod soon to see if that helps both th

Curious... Have you seen any MPG gains?
Driving has been less consistent. More short cities driving so I can't really say. Either that or the intake scoop I made already had the same effect and won't see a difference. And I believe our winter garbage fuel has started..

Might as well make this as efficient a possible. Trimmed the cover to maximize the air flow provided by the scoop. Giant obstruction removed.

I was not purchasing the AFE scoop due to not having a seal like the factory scoop does. So glad you found a weatherstripping solution. Which kind did you use? Thanks!

Just the thick foam weatherstrip you can find at Home Depot. I forget the thickness but to should be able to measure the stock one over to the driver side.

Actually I thought you were referring to the other weatherstrip. For the scoop it was maybe 3/8-1/4" stuff.
