I would have used chains if I had them. I was wanting to get a winch and plow for the side by side anyway. And I probably will get chains for it too. The side by side will work better even without chains since it weighs 1200 pounds versus the lightweight 38" cut riding lawn mower.

I woke up this morning to more snow that I will have to go clear. I might get out to play in the snow with the Ranger today or wait until tomorrow. Most of it will be gone in a few days. It is supposed to be in the mid to upper 30's over the weekend and up into the 40's next week.
Midsize Ranger and plow, works great even without chains. Had a layer of ice under the snow so was a little tricky but plowed my drive and about a mile of county road into my rural subdivision.

Well I drove around my small town this afternoon. The stock Hankook tires were okay where the streets were plowed (but still covered) and in 4-5 inches of snow. I hit a spot that was not plowed that was 12+ inches and 4HI was almost not enough to get through it.

Needless to say the Hankook tires WILL get replaced..

Just got back from joy riding, 8” of snow took 4wd to get started but could drive around in 2wd easy after that. The traction control works really good, matter of fact you have to turn it off to have some fun. I really like this truck.

No joy rides pictured here, just work, another day, another dollar.. Is this rangers in snow or towing?

Since there was not 3" on the street, I didn't put it in 4wd.

Slush and ice is terrible to work in. Glad we don't get much of that!
